Oneplus has been in the smartphone business for around six years. Within this timeframe, we have witnessed an increase in the price of Oneplus devices every year. And now Oneplus has become a premium flagship smartphone company, which means no more affordable devices from Oneplus. Taking it into this consideration, they are back with a premium mid-range smartphone, Oneplus Nord.
After a lot of rumor, leaks, and chats about Oneplus Nord, Oneplus has officially launched Oneplus Nord yesterday, 21st of July. It is a premium mid-range smartphone that costs a lot less than its bigger brothers, Oneplus 8 and Oneplus 8 Pro.
Oneplus Nord Specs:
The phone features a 6.44” panel fluid AMOLED display sporting full HD+ resolution. It has 1080×2400 pixels resolution with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display refresh rate of the phone is 90Hz and comes with corning gorilla glass 5 protection on both the front and back sides of the phone.
OnePlus Nord is powered by QUALCOMM’s snapdragon 765G based on 7nm technology. The phone is running on Android 10 OS with the company’s own Oxygen 10.5 OS skin on the top of it. For the Indian market, there will be three variants: 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage UFS 2.1. Sadly we won’t get a microSD card slot to expand the memory. So going with at least 128GB variant will be a wise decision.
In the camera section, the rear side has quad-camera which are of 48MP f/1.8 (main), 8MP f/2.3 (ultra-wide), 5MP f/2.4 (depth) and 2MP f/2.4 (macro). On the front, there is a dual selfie camera setup of 32MP f/2.5 (main) and 8MP f/2.5 (ultra-wide). This phone is capable of taking 4k video at the rate of 30fps while 1080p of video can be taken at the rate of 30/60/240fps.
The battery capacity of the phone is 4115mAh which has fast charging 30W warp technology. This charger can charge 70% of the battery in just 30 minutes.
Oneplus Nord price in Nepal and availability:
Oneplus Nord will be available in a few Asia markets and European countries for now. It will be available in two color variants: blue marble and gray onyx. OnePlus Nord is priced at INR 24,999 (~ NPR 40,000) for 6+64GB variant, INR 27,999 (~ NPR 44,800) for 8+128GB variant and INR 29,999 (~ NPR 48,000) for 12+256GB variant.
Olizstore, one of the authorized retail stores for OnePlus product in Nepal has already listed OnePlus Nord on their website. According to the Olizstore website, OnePlus Nord will be available only in 8+128GB variants with both color options and will be priced at Rs.53,999. However, it is only available for pre-order as of now. There is no info when this device will be available for purchase.
