As the IDC’s latest Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report is out for the month of July, August & September. We see that Xiaomi is back to its No.1 position in the smartphone market of Nepal. This is not the first time that Xiaomi has achieved this feat. Earlier this year in the First quarter, Xiaomi was listed as the No.1 smartphone brand of Nepal. Now, again Mi Fans have shown their power during this festive season making the No.1 brand once again.

Xiaomi at the top again, Capturing ⅓ of the total Smartphone Market in Nepal

Looking at the stats, we can see that currently Xiaomi firmly holds the 34.1% market share in Nepal in terms of Unit shipped, and that’s more than 1/3rd of the total market share. This means, currently in Nepal among every three sold, one of them is a Xiaomi device.

Consumers in Nepal have started trusting Xiaomi as a brand. Xiaomi has a phone on its portfolio for everyone, starting from Redmi 9A at Rs.11,999/- to all the way to Mi 10 5G at Rs.89,999/-. In middle, its midrange from Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 series is also providing the best value for the money to their consumers.

Not only launching devices, throughout these years, Xiaomi Nepal has also improved the customer service and overall expansion of the brand all over Nepal. The tight integration with e-commerce like Daraz and Sastodeal and 1600+ offline partner stores with 350+ Mi Preferred Partner stores across the country is helping Xiaomi in strengthening their presence and show their dominance in the Nepali smartphone market.

As we heard from, Sourabh Kothari, Country General Manager – Xiaomi Nepal, said, “We are ecstatic to be the #1 smartphone brand in Nepal again as per IDC report for Q3 2020. We are humbled by the love and support that we have received from our Mi Fans, and it has helped us come closer to our mission of providing innovation for all. We shall continue to work towards our commitment of gaining our users’ sustained trust and appreciation through constant innovation across our products, business model, and infrastructure.”

At last, a huge congratulation to Xiaomi Nepal on their achievement. We hope to see some serious competition from other brands too. What are your thoughts on this one? Let us know in the comment section below. Also tell us, is anyone from your family using a Xiaomi device or not.
