But after the recent launch of the iPhone 12, people had been anticipating the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series, and finally, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series has been launched in Nepal. The pre-orders started from Jan 21 to Feb 4 and now the devices are available for purchase too. Samsung S21 and S21+ Overview
Design and Display
Starting with the design, the S21 has a much better design than the predecessors, especially with the camera module. The Galaxy S21 is built with an aluminum frame with a glass front and plastic back, whereas Galaxy S21 is better with a glass back. With an IP68 rating, both the phones are dust and water-resistant up to 1.5m for 30mins.
Both the phones have Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with 120Hz adaptive sync and HDR10+ giving peak brightness up to 1300 nits. But the Galaxy S21+ measures slightly bigger with a 6.7-inch screen than the 6.2 inches on the Galaxy S21. Both the display are protected with Gorilla Glass Victus, and the resolution has been dropped from QHD+ to FHD+.
Samsung has made a significant change in displays by replacing the curved screens with a flat display on the Galaxy S21 series.

The Exynos 2100 Chipset
Samsung Galaxy S21 series in Nepal will have Exynos 2100 SoC. The Exynos SoC is paired with a Cortex X1 core that can execute 33% more instructions per clock than the Cortex A78. The Exynos variant will have an Octa-core processor with one Cortex-X1 core clocked at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.80 GHz, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.2 GHz.
The graphics will be handled by Mali-G78 MP14 GPU, which according to the company is 40% faster compared to the last-gen Exynos 990.
Samsung Galaxy S21 and Samsung Galaxy S21+ Camera
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series features a triple camera setup in the S21 and S21 Plus. The S21 and S21 Plus will have a 12 MP wide(f/1.8) sensor for the primary camera. The other two cameras are a 12MP ultrawide lens and 64MP telephoto camera with a 1.1x optical zoom and 3x hybrid zoom, along with a 10-megapixel selfie camera. It supports dual PDAF with a 12MP lens and is 1/2.55″ big, similar to the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G with additional AF.Â
Battery and Other Features
Both the phones will have batteries ranging in size from 4,000 mAh to 5,000 mAh, with S21 having a 4000mAh battery with a step up to a 4800mAh on the S21 Plus. Samsung Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+ have fast charging support of 25W with USB Power Delivery 3.0 and wireless charging of 15W. The phones will also support reverse charging of 4.5W.
According to the company, they have improved the optical/in-display fingerprint sensor with the new Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2, which makes the sensor 50% faster and can record up to 1.7 times more biometric data than the predecessor.
