Finally, AMD stood up and bought forward the most affordable processors for desktops. AMD had given some hints on these processors at CES 2022. AMD Ryzen 4000 Series
The Ryzen 4000 series contains 3 of the different desktop processors. The entry-level, Ryzen 3 4100, the mid-level Ryzen 5 4500, and the higher-level Ryzen 5 4600G. All of these Processors come with Zen 2 Architecture and 65W TDP. The two Ryzen 5 will have an 11MB total cache while the one with the Ryzen 3 will come with a 6MB total cache. Similarly, talking about cores and threads, the Ryzen 3 will come with 4 cores and 8 threads while the remaining will have 6 cores and 12 threads.
AMD Ryzen 5000 Series
The Ryzen 5000 Series is an upgrade to the 4000 series. Similar to the 4000 series, the 5000 series also contains 3 different desktop processors i.e. Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 5600, and Ryzen 7 5700X. All of these Processors also come with Zen 2 Architecture and 65W TDP. The upper Ryzen 7 will come with 8 cores and 16 threads while the other will come with similar 6 cores and 12 threads. The 5500, 5600, 5700X will have a total of 19, 35, and 36 Cache.

The Ryzen 5800X3D which was announced at CES 2022 is also on the verge of launching as per the recent AMD announcement. Recalling the specifications, it will have 8 cores and 16 threads, and 100MB of total cache with 105W TDP. This Processor will hit the markets of the USA from 20th April which means it will take around 6 months to arrive in the Nepali market.
Motherboard Support
AMD has also extended the support of the 300 series so that all these new upcoming CPUs will be compatible with this motherboard. The latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Series processors will be supported on AMD X370, B350, and A320 chipsets, offering a seamless upgrade path to “Zen 3” performance. Selective BETA BIOS updates are expected to become available in April.
