Xiaomi has unveiled the Civi 1S in China. It is the successor to the Xiaomi Civi launched back in September 2021. However, the only change is in the chipset, and the rest of the specs remain almost identical. Design and Display
Xiaomi Civi 1S looks identical to the original Civi. It has a rectangular camera module at the back that consists of a big circular ring for the primary camera followed by two smaller rings. The device has a glass back design and an aluminum frame giving it a premium feel. Similarly, it is 6.98mm thick and has a weight of 166g as its predecessor. Moreover, it comes in four color options: Black, Blue, Pink, and Silver.Â
The handset sports a 6.55-inch 3D Curved OLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It comes with a Full HD+ resolution and supports up to 1B colors as it is a 10-bit panel. Similarly, it supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate and up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate making the display smooth and responsive. Moreover, the display has 950 nits of peak brightness and Dolby Vision contents.Â
Camera
Xiaomi Civi 1S has the same triple camera setup. The setup has a 64MP main camera with an f/1.8. It is supported by an 8MP ultrawide lens that has a 120-degree field of view. Completing the setup is a 2MP macro camera. Similarly, it has a 32MP selfie snapper inside the punch hole.
Performance and Memory
As I mentioned earlier, Xiaomi Civi 1S is powered by a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. It has a better peak clock speed of 2.5Ghz as compared with standard 778G while other specs are similar. Likewise, it comes with 8/12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. On the software things, the device runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 skin on top.Â

Other Features
Xiaomi Civi 1S has a 4500mAh non-removable battery. It supports 55W fast charging. The company claims the 55W in-box charge can fully charge the device in just 55 minutes. Furthermore, it comes with an optical under-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers setup.

Xiaomi Civi 1S is up for pre-order in China. It starts at CNY 2,299 for the base 8/128GB model and 2,599 for the 8/256GB trim. Similarly, the top 12/256GB model costs CNY 2,899. Rumors claim that the Civi 1S will land as MI 12 Lite in the global market. If that happens, we expect the Xiaomi Civi 1S price to be around NPR 45,999 for the base model in Nepal.
