Amazfit offers two variants for its affordable smartwatch series. Those are the Amazfit Bip 3 and Amazfit Bip 3 Pro. The Pro version is differentiated by a Built-in GPS feature which the non-pro version lacks. In contrast, those specifications remain the same for both versions.
Build and Design
Talking about our first impression of the Amazfit Bip 3 Pro. The smartwatch has a plastic case that weighs 33 grams. And get an adjustable Silicone strap. Which is feel very comfortable and light weigh in our hands compared to other smartwatches.
We can find 3 different color options for the smartwatch. Whereas we were reviewing black color options. The watch has a mini-minimalistic design with just a single dial button. Though the dial has no function at all.
Display
Moreover looking at the display the Amazfit BIP 3 Pro has comparatively larger bezels than our preference. Where the lower bezels are unappealing and large making the display look off-centered. Furthermore, the 1.69 inches display in the smartwatch gets decently bright. But the Amazfit BIP 3 Pro lacks an auto-brightness feature.
Health Features
Talking about health features in the Amazfit BIP 3 Pro. The smartwatch has all the health tracking features we need. Such as heart rate monitoring, SPo2 monitoring, Sleep monitoring, and different workout modes. Furthermore, the app gives suggestions for the user as per your data. While we can find PAI scores, share our workout data with friends. Whereas we can get goals and see our progress.
We tried to test most of the workout functions available in the app. While we use the outdoor running workout features the most. Where it tracked the heart rate, body oxygen pace, calories, and duration. Furthermore, it also shows your outdoor running track with the help of a built GPS.
Connectivity
The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro comes with a built-In GPS in the smartwatch. Compared to standard Amazfit Bip 3 which doesn’t include Built-In GPS. Talking about the connectivity smartwatch features Bluetooth 5.0. Furthermore from our experience, the smartwatch has great connectivity with the smartphone. Therefore you get quick notifications of calls and SMS which sync which the smartphone.
Software
As Amazfit is owned by Zepp Health. The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro uses a ZEPP companion app to sync with the device. Talking about our software experience with the smartwatch. The responsiveness of the smartwatch OS was smooth and quick. While the gesture also worked perfectly in the smartwatch.
Furthermore talking about software experience on the app. We found multiple health metric data to look from. Such as detailed workout data, and in-depth information about your heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep quality, and stress. Moreover, you can customize your watch face, set an alarm, add notes and customize the layout of your app.
Battery and charging
The smartwatch comes with a battery capacity of 280 mAh. From our experience, the battery capacity is enough to last for two weeks with typical uses. Which includes using workout mode and every 10 minutes heart tracking features turned on. The Amazfit Bip 3 Pro smartwatch can fully charge within 2 hours with the included magnetic charger.
