The Radeon RX 9070 is built on AMD’s RDNA 4 architectures, utilizing TSMC’s 4nm process. AMD has positioned this GPU to target the desktop market, while the RX 8000 series will cater to mobile devices with RDNA 3.5 technology.
One of the standout features of the RX 9070 is its integration of FSR 4. This machine-learning-based upscaling technology is exclusive to RDNA 4 GPUs and offers improved frame generation and visual fidelity. Games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 are expected to support this technology at launch.
At CES 2025, early benchmarks revealed the Radeon RX 9070 delivers impressive performance, competing closely with Nvidia’s RTX 4080 Super.
