Apple Announced Apple Watch Series 6, Watch SE, & New iPads

After all the leaks, rumors, and assumptions, Apple’s September event finally happened. Unlike every year we didn’t saw any iPhone this year. This was the shortest apple event ever. Though it was not an iPhone event and was only an hour and 3 minutes long. We saw some exciting launches and announcements yesterday. Talking about hardware we got two new Apple watches, Apple Watch 6 and Apple Watch SE. We also saw refresh on two large models of iPad. We got an entry-level iPad 8 and a redesigned iPad Air 2020 (iPad Air 4). So let’s take a deep dive into these announcements.

Apple Watch 6 and Apple Watch SE

Apple Watch is among the most trusted and renowned smartwatch in the industry.  The watch is infamous for its features and life-saving capabilities. In yesterday’s event, Apple announced two new apple watches. Among them, Apple Watch is the latest and greatest Apple has to offer.

•  Apple Watch 6

Apple Watch 6 comes with an almost bezel-less design at the front. The watch offers new finishes and bands this time. It also offers an all-new Solo loop band, without buckle. Under the hood, we get all new S6 SoC for apple watch, which is based on Apple A13 silicon. Like the Watch 5, it has features like, Always on Display, EGC, unnatural heart activity detection, and 20% improvement in performance. Now, the apple watch has an ability to measure blood oxygen level or SpO2. All-new Apple watches will be shipped with watchOS 7 and no USB Adapter inbox.

• Apple Watch SE

This is the new series for Apple. As there SE series of iPhones are an instant hit. Now, Apple Watch SE will be filling the gap between Apple Watch 6 and Apple Watch 3. Apple Watch SE comes with a 30% larger display than the Apple watch 3. It won’t be having ECG and SpO2 monitoring like watch 6. But it will pack important Health features like High and low heart rate notifications, Irregular heart rhythm notification, fall detection, and an all-new Family setup feature, where you can connect many Apple watches with a single iPhone.

iPad 8 & iPad Air 4 ( iPad Air 2020)

 iPad has been one of the most successful products in the apple line up. This was the 10th Aniversary for the iPad and we got two major upgrades. Apple upgraded its entry-level iPad 7 with, Apple A12 Bionic chip, and Apple Pencil support. While the iPad Air 3 got a major redesign and now looks like iPad Pro.

• iPad 8th Gen

The entry-level iPad gets a Specs bump with the Apple A12 Bionic inside. But outside, we get the same body with 10.2-inch Retina Display. This is a non-laminated display. With 500 nits of maximum brightness and 2160X1620-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch. While talking more about the Specs we get, 8MP rear camera and 1.2MP front camera. It has support for first-generation Apple pencil and will ship with the latest iPad OS 14. We get a touch ID integrated into the home button. The best part is that the starting price is the same, but starts with a 32GB base variant.

• iPad Air 4 (iPad Air 2020)

iPad Air receives a major upgrade both with design and specs. This is the first device to come equipped with an all-new 5nm Apple A14 Bionic Chip. At the front, we get an all-new 10.9-inch Liquid Retina Display with reduced bezels. With this, we also got Touch ID on the Power button. Not only that, but we also get support for Apple Pencil 2 and have a Type C port for charging with a 20W charging adapter in the box. This new iPad has a 12MP shooter on the rear, which is similar to the Pro variant, with all the same features. While at the front we get a 7MP face time camera. We get iPad Air 2020 in all-new 5 color finishes, with Space Gray, Silver, Rose Gold, Green, and all-new Sky Blue. With the new design, it has support for all the iPad Pro keyboard accessories and will ship with iPad OS 14.

So, this was what we got in the September event from Apple. Though Apple didn’t tell anything about the upcoming iPhones, Arm-based Macs, and Apple Air tags.
