Asus ROG Phone 5 Available With Snapdragon 888 And Triple Camera Setup

Asus has been working on the gaming smartphone. Yet again, the company has worked on the flagship models of gaming smartphones. The Asus ROG Phone 5 features flagship-level like the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, 144Hz Samsung AMOLED panel, and it has also brought back the 3.5mm headphone jack. Here, in this article, we will be talking about the features and specs of the Asus ROG Phone 5 along with its price in Nepal.

Design and Display:

Here, the Asus ROG Phone 5 is featured with 6.78 inches AMOLED display with 1B colors and  144Hz refresh rate. The device also comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels.  Talking about built quality, the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus at the front, the backside is built with Gorilla Glass 3 and the frame is made of aluminum. 

Talking about the design, the device features a triple camera setup a the back. At the front, there is a single selfie camera. Being a gaming phone, the device weighs 238g with a thickness of 10.3 mm.

Performance:

Talking about performance, the Asus ROG Phone 5 is featured with Snapdragon 888 that is built under 5nm architecture. The 5nm chipset features an octa-core processor with one Kryo 680 clocked at 2.84 GHz, three Kryo 680 clocked at 2.42 GHz and four Kryo 680 clocked at 1.80 GHz. Whereas, Adreno 660 handles the graphics of this device. You can get this device in four color variants: 128/8GB RAM, 128/12GB RAM, 256/12GB RAM, and 256/16GB RAM.

 Asus is also shipping the Pro and the Ultimate variant of the Rog Phone 5 with AeroActive Cooler 5. It’s a clip-on external cooling fan that the company claims can reduce the device’s core temperature by up to 15°C.

Camera:

Moving on to the cameras of Asus ROG Phone 5, the device is featured with a triple camera setup where the main camera is  64 MP, f/1.8 aperture. Supporting the main camera, there is a 13 MP, f/2.4 aperture ultrawide camera with an angle view of 125˚. Completing the setup, there is a 5 MP, f/2.0 aperture macro camera. The main camera can record up 8K@30fps, 4K@30/60/120fps, 1080p@30/60/120/240fps and 720p@480fps. 

At the front, there is a 24 MP, f/2.5 aperture single selfie camera. This camera can record videos up to 1080p@30fps.

Other features:

The Asus ROG Phone 5 is featured with a 6000mAh battery with fast charging support of 65W.

There is also an under-display fingerprint scanner. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and a compass.

As we know the device is already launched globally with the starting price of $1,139 on amazon for the base variant. But, the device is not launched in Nepal yet.  The converted price of the Asus ROG Phone 5 in Nepal is Rs 137,699. This device is available in two color variants: Phantom Black and Storm White.
