Design and Display
Upfront, ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro both features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display that runs on Full HD+ resolution. The display is a Samsung AMOLED with support for a 165Hz refresh rate and 1200 nits of maximum brightness. There’s not much difference between the two when it comes to design except for the Pro features a programmable color AMOLED display on the back. The device this time gets an IPX4 rating for water resistance.
The display supports, 720Hz of touch sampling rate, and 1 Billion colors as it is a 10Bit panel. Along with all this, the display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus at the front and Gorilla Glass 3 at the back.
Performance
Both the devices in the Rog Phone 6 series are powered by the latest, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The chipset brings a peak clock speed of 3.2Ghz with improved GPU frequency. There will be a few more devices that have been launched with this chipset like Xiaomi 12 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and more.
ROG Phone 6 brings an improved vapor chamber cooling with a larger cooling surface area. Likewise, it will have up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage is supported on the Pro variant, while the regular ROG Phone 6 maxes out at 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, which is still a lot.
Camera
On the rear side, there will be a total of 3 cameras. The primary camera will include a 50MP main camera. There will be a 13MP ultrawide lens and a 5MP macro camera. Similarly, it will feature a 12MP selfie camera. The main shooter is Sony IMX766 sensor with PDAF while the selfie shooter is Sony IMX 663.

The device will pack a gigantic dual-cell 6000mAh battery. It will come with 65W fast wired charging. Likewise, there will be a 3.5mm headphone jack along with a pair of USB Type-C ports. On the software side, it will be running on the latest Android 12. Moreover, it will feature an optical under-display fingerprint scanner for security. Along with all this, it comes with all ROG signature feature the Air Triggers. As I already told you, the ROG Phone 6 Pro features a 2-inch OLED display at the rear, which can display the text of your choice, alert you when you get notifications, and more.
