At their event on 10th February 2021, Asus launched various ZenBooks with different specs and configurations. One of my favorites from the event was Asus ZenBook 14 (UX435). It is the one with the latest Nvidia MX450 graphics, 14’’ FHD touch display, Dual Display (display in the trackpad), 11th Gen intel CPU, and much more. Today, let’s see what this ultrabook has to offer, its features, and its price in Nepal. Asus ZenBook 14 (UX435) Overview
Build and Design – Elegant and Innovative
This lightweight Ultrabook from Asus provides performance and portability in one. It is 16.9mm thin and weighs around 1.19 ~ 1.29 kg. Upfront, we have a 14-inch FHD display with a 92% screen-to-body ratio. Here we also get Windows Hello Facial recognition because of IR sensors and an HD Web camera. We have a Backlit Chiclet Keyboard with 1.4mm of key travel and full function Functions key for the keyboard. Below that keyboard, we get ScreenPad 2.0, the fancy name for Display in the trackpad. We will talk more about this display later in the article. Despite being this light, Asus ZenBook 14 houses a 63W hour battery inside with 65W Type C charging. The laptop gestures a full-size HDMI and USB Type-A ports in addition to two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C and a microSD card reader, and an audio jack.
Display – We have two of them here
Asus ZenBook 14 (UX435) has a 14-inch FHD touch screen panel. It is a glossy panel with 300 nits of brightness. This IPS panel supports 100% sRGB color and has supports stylus for your creativity. On the Asus ZenBook 14, we have SmartPad 2.0. Here you have a multi-function 5.6-inch touch screen. It can act like your Dal display, and you can even switch apps between your primary display and the SmartPad. Along with that, we get the Mode switch button. Through this, you can easily switch between display mode and trackpad mode. You can even choose a set of apps to open at one click via the Smartpad on your primary and secondary display. The secondary display also lets you make a call if your phone is connected via the MyAsus App. It can even be used as a Number Pad if needed.
Performance – Latest from Intel and Nvidia
With their latest line of ZenBooks, Asus has gone with 11th Gen Intel CPU, and here also it the same. We get either i5 11th Gen CPU with a clock speed of 2.4Ghz and can boost up to 4.2Ghz. It’s a quadcore CPU with 8MB cache memory. We also have an i7 11th Gen variant with a base clock speed of 2.8Ghz and can boost up to 4.7Ghz. It is equipped with 4 cores and 12MB cache memory. Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 also houses a dedicated GPU. Here we get Nvidia’s latest offering for thin and light laptops, Nvidia GeForce MX450. The graphics are equipped with 2GB of high-speed DDR6 VRAM. The GPU is based on turning architecture and is manufactured at a 12nm fabrication process.
Talking about the RAM options, here we will be getting 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with the i5 variant, while with the i7 variant, we get 16GB RAM. While the storage is similar on both models with 512 GB PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4 M.2 SSD. Make sure to choose according to your needs, as there is no option for expanding RAM via the users in the ZenBooks.
Battery – Charge it with Type C
Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 comes with a 63Wh 3 cell battery inside, which supports 65W charging via the Type C port. This makes things a lot easier as most of the tech is coming with Type C, and if you carry your laptop charger, you have them cover all. As Asus said in their presentation, you can even charge this one via a power bank; though they will result in slower charging speeds; nevertheless, you have an option there.

Connection: Asus ZenBook 14 UX435 comes with gigabit-class WiFi 6, which can theoretically achieve a maximum speed of up to 9.6Gbps along with that, we have Bluetooth 5 for connecting your accessories.
I/O and Ports: Despite benign, this thin and light, with the ZenBook 14, we get full-size HDMI and USB Type-A ports in addition to two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C and a microSD card reader and an audio jack. The ThunderBolt here can also act as a display mode and connect with your 4K monitor. Not only that, the ThunderBolt 4 stander brings data transfers at speeds up to 40Gbps. In contrast, the icing on the cake supports hooking in the external GPU on this compact machine.
AI Noise-canceling audio Recording: Asus has implemented some machine learning tech on this ZenBook, which can automatically filter all the unwanted and Ambient noise while you speak. This can be really handy while taking Zoom calls and has many other applications too.
MyAsus: These ZenBooks come with the latest version of MyAsus software. It is a collection of handy software that helps you to get more out of your zen book. Some of the features which MyAsus provides are Fan Profile, Splendid, Tru2Life, Function key lock, WiFi SmartConnect, and AppDeals. You can even use it to connect your iOS/Android device with the laptop for seamless file sharing and much more.
Asus BacGuard: The keyboard of Lilac Mist color variant of the ZenBook 14 is applied with a BacGurad layer, which is scientifically proven to remove up to 99% of bacteria in 24 hours and inhibits the further growth of filthy bacterias in your keyboard.
Ergolift: Opening the Lid of the laptop lift the rear part of the laptop, making an angle that helps you type conveniently, enhances the airflow and helping the laptop to stay cool for better performance, and also helps in enhancing the audio as the speaker tuned by Harman Kardon resides at the bottom.
