Back in May, we saw benco launch the benco V80 in the entry-level segment, and now we have another entry-level smartphone in the Nepali market from Benco, the benco V60. The phone is catered towards people looking for affordable phones at low pricing. With such pricing, the phone does not have much to offer, but benco has squeezed in some specs like the fingerprint scanner and dual camera you might not get in phones in this segment.

Benco V60 Overview
Benco V60 features a 6.1-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a screen-to-body ratio of 85%. The phone’s bezels are certainly not small, with thick bezels surrounding ht screen with a huge chin on the bottom. The entry-level smartphone is quite thick at 9.4 mm thickness but weighs comparatively less at only 170.8 grams. You will also see a fingerprint sensor in the rear, which the company claims takes less than 0.3 seconds to unlock the phone.

As you expect from an entry-level phone, it does not come with a great chipset, just a sub-par Unisoc SC9863a built from a 24nm fabrication process. Don’t expect the phone to handle any games at all, and your daily tasks also won’t be smooth but will get your job done. But a good part is you get the latest Android 11 with these phones. Talking about the storage, the phone comes with 2GB RAM for your basic needs and 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB with a dedicated micro SD card slot.
Although the benco V60 comes with a dual camera on the back, with the 12MP lens being the primary camera with AI image processing, the purpose or the specifications of the 2nd camera are unclear. You have a 5MP camera with similar AI image processing on the front, but don’t set your expectations high with the fancy term; you won’t be using this phone much for even your minor photography needs.
Moving on to the battery, the benco V60 packs a 4120mAh battery which will last you more than a day considering the low power needs of the chipset. You also get a triple card tray with the phone, one for the microSD and two others for SIM cards for all 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
