ClassicTech Launches 1Gbps Internet plan in Nepal

ClassicTech has been a reliable internet service provider in Nepal. It has been providing affordable broadband and IPTV services since 2009. It’s one of the fastest-growing internet service providers in Nepal. But during the recent hype for super-cheap internet connection, ClassicTech was kinda quiet. Little did we know, ClassicTech had big plans and mind-blowing schemes. In this article, we’re going to talk about ClassicTech’s latest internet plans, the Tachyon Internet plans, and how it’s going to change the game.

ClassicTech’s Tachyon Internet Plans

ClassicTech did hint that it’s about to bring a new Gbps internet connection through ClassicTech’s official website. But other top Internet Service Providers in Nepal were already bringing superfast internet connections. For instance, Worldlink brought the photon internet plans with up to 600Mbps of internet. And, Vianet brought super-efficient UltraFi plans with up to 250Mbps of speed.

While all this was happening, ClassicTech was silent, with nothing but a teaser to a Gbps internet plan. Finally, the teaser has turned into a big reveal. And trust me, it was worth the wait. The Tachyon internet plans have a speed of up to 1000Mbps or simply 1Gbps, the first internet plan to meet that threshold. 

Although the Gbps internet connection is the most attractive plan, it’s also the most expensive, obviously. So for people like us, who can’t really afford to invest in a Gbps internet connection just yet, ClassicTech has brought other plans. These plans fall under the same Tachyon Package from ClassicTech and come with interesting namings. 

• Bronze Tachyon TV+ – 150Mbps 
• Silver Tachyon 2TV+ – 225Mbps 
• Gold Tachyon 2TV+ – 325Mbps 
• Diamond Tachyon 3TV+ – 625Mbps 
• Platinum Tachyon 3TV+ – 1000Mbps (1Gbps)

ClassicTech is playing Pubg Mobile with its internet plans, ranking them from bronze to platinum. And as per the rank, you get free IPTV subscriptions. For bronze, you get 1 free IPTV subscription, 2 for silver and gold, and 3 for diamond and platinum. The setup box also comes for free but you do have to pay the activation and the deposit charge. Apart from this, 5 meters of wire is also free.

The 625 and 1000Mbps only have a 12-month plan. And, the prices above are subjected to 13% tax as well. These plans are for home packages only. And thus, the fair usage policy is applicable to them. 

ClassicTech Fair Usage Policy

Fiar Usage Policy or simply FUP is a policy adopted by almost all ISPs to ensure that all users are getting a proper internet experience. To do this, ISPs restrict or throttle the internet speeds of a user’s internet plan when they cross the bandwidth limit provided. 

ClassicTech checks the user’s data usage and throttles the speed if a user crosses the bandwidth limit. The data usage is checked on a daily basis. If a user crosses the first limit, he’s subject to the Black zone where the speed is throttled by only 10%. Then comes the Red zone where the speed is throttled by 25% and the Yellow Zone which will reduce your speed by 50%.

Users will be notified via SMS, email, or notification in mobile apps about the daily data usage limit crossed. In order to avoid throttling of speed due to FUP, choosing an appropriate internet plan is necessary. And the higher the plan, the higher the bandwidth limit. 

Other than this, users can also get the Small Office and Home Office (SOHO) plans from ClassicTech. These plans do not have a fair usage quota, meaning they are truly unlimited.
