Coolpad Cool S is a mid-range offering from the brand with a modern-looking punch-hole display at the front and back. At the front, we get a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a punch hole at the top left corner. While at the back, we have a Quad-camera setup inside a square hump and a Coolpad logo at the bottom.

Optics
On paper, the camera setup of Coolpad Cool S looks very promising against the competition. At the rear, we have a quad-camera setup with a Samsung GM1 48MP f/1.8 primary camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide with 120-degree field of view. Next is a 5MP f/2.0 macro lens with a 2cm focus length, which is much better than what the competition provides. The last one is a 0.3MP sub-camera assisting in-depth data and night photoshoot.
Things are more interesting when it comes to the front. Here we get Sony IMX 576 sensor, which is a 25MP shooter for sharper and clear selfies. So, overall the camera setup of Coolpad Cool is quite good and is giving a tough competition in the market at this price point.

Under the hood, Coolpad Cool S is powered by Mediatek Helio P60 SoC. It is an octa-core CPU with 4 cortex A73 cores at 2.1Ghz and 4 cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz. We have Mali G72 MP3 GPU and 4GB RAM for GPU duties, and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 512 via a micro-SD card.
All this is backed up by a 5000mAh battery, which supports 10W charging. The charging should have been at least 15W as the competition is gearing toward fast charging in their mid-range devices.
Software and UI
This will be one of the major USPs for Coolpad Cool S. As the device comes with Stock Android 10. This means you will have a clean and smooth experience while using this device as there will be no to minimal bloatware and no Ads throughout the UI. Many other Chinese OEMs are pushing out Ads in their UI. In contrast, Coolpad has chosen the other way by providing a clean & stock Android experience.
