Samsung Galaxy A32 vs POCO X3 Pro – Overview
Design and Display
Looking at the build and design Samsung A32 looks much more premium than the Poco X3 Pro. At the back of the A32, we get a new design with a camera sticking out of the flat back panel. These devices are made out of plastic, but X3 Pro has Gorilla Glass 6 protection at the front. Also, the A32 is much lighter and thinner at 8.4mm and 184gm than the POCO X3, which is 9.4mm thin and weighs around 215gm. Poco fights back in the design department with an IP53 rating, Stereo speakers, and also inclusion on an IR Blaster.
Upfront, we get a 90Hz Super AMOLED display on the Samsung while POCO houses a 120Hz IPS panel with 240Hz of touch sampling. So, if you are more into watching movies and streaming content, then A32 will provide you a more vivid experience. Still, if you are more into gaming, it’s better to go with POCO X3 Pro to provide you with a more responsive and lag-free experience.
Performance and Battery
Though both of these smartphones fall under the same price category, they are based on different philosophies and target two different niches of users. POCO X3 Pro crushes A32 in the performance department with its flagship Snapdragon 860 SoC. Along with that, POCO X3 comes with 6GB RAM (at Rs.31,999), 128GB UFS 3.1 storage, and Adreno 640 GPU. It won’t be a problem for POCO X3 Pro to handle any game available at the play store at its highest settings. Also, its 120Hz panel with 240Hz touch sampling further enhances your gaming experience.
On the other hand, A32 comes with Helio G80 and 6GB LPDDR4X RAM; it’s a mid-range SoC available in devices that costs around NRs. 20,000 in Nepal. Saying that it can handle your regular day-to-day tasks and social media surfing easily and games at very low settings. So, if you want a better-performing device that would last for a year or two, then the choice is clear.
Talking about the battery, Samsung houses a 5000mAh cell, whereas POCO X3 Pro has a 5160mAh battery. But here, POCO supports 33W fast charging with a charger provided in the box, which is really great, whereas Galaxy A32 only supports 15W charging, which is kind of a bummer at this stage.
Camera and Software
Samsung smartphones are always known to have good cameras compared to the competition at the same price segment. Looking at the specs, Samsung A32 has a 64MP f/1.8 shooter. It’s a Samsung GW3 64MP sensor. Along with that, we get 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide with 123˚ field-of-view. Accompanying these are 5MP each depth and macro shooter. While at the front, we have a 20 MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter.
While in the POCO X3 Pro, we get a 48MP f/1.79 Primary shooter along with 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and the last two are 2MP for each macro and depth sensor. While at the front, you get a 20MP f/2.2 shooter. POCO X3 Pro can record 4K videos up to 30fps, while A32 can only go up to 1080P at 30fps.
For the software, both devices are running on Android 11 with POCO X3 Pro running MIUI 12.0.4 on top, whereas A32 has its own Samsung’s ONE UI 3.1.
