Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra might come with an Upgraded Telephoto Camera

Samsung is debuting the Galaxy S23 series, the ( Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 ultra). The galaxy S23 ultra is leaked to feature a  new and improved telephoto camera sensor and zoom mechanism. Let’s get into the overall details of the new leaks. 

Camera leaks of galaxy S23 ultra: 

Leakster Ice universe reveals a new leak, that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature an improved telephoto camera sensor and zoom mechanism. This might go to the Galaxy S23 model as well as the S23 plus.

The leakster also informs users that the main camera on the smartphone may remain the same or carry slight improvements.

As Sammobile rightly points out, LG Innotek recently showcased a new telephoto camera module that functions much like a traditional DSLR camera lens, preserving image details. It uses a folded-optic design that keeps the overall size down, resulting in a lens that covers a 4-9x range, with true optical zoom in between. It’s possible that Samsung may use the same module or a similar mechanism on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Tipster Ice Universe also leaks that Samsung will use an exclusive high-frequency version of the snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Recently, all three smartphones from the lineup have passed through 3C certification in China. The Galaxy S23 (SM-S9110) and Galaxy S23+ (SM-S9160) are both certified with the same EP-TA800 charger.  In the certification, the S23 Ultra also adds supports a maximum of 25W charging (11V @ 2.25A).

Tipster Ice Universe claims the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will debut at the Galaxy event on February 1, 2023. This tweet was agreed upon by  @OnLeaks as well. This could be the launch date for the US market and other regions may get the new smartphones on February 2.
