We have seen some amazing gadgets being launched in the year 2021. Devices like Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 made their debut back in August 2021. Yet again, in 2022, we are going to see a somewhat similar foldable device that will be featuring the latest processor Snapdragon 8 Gen1. The device is powered by Honor and is named Honor Magic V. So, here in this article, we will be looking at the specs and features of this foldable device along with its expected price if launched in Nepal.
Honor Magic V overview:
Design and display:
The Honor Magic V is featured with a 7.9 inches Foldable OLED screen that features 1B colors and comes with a 90Hz refresh rate panel. In addition, the device features a resolution of 1984 x 2272 pixels.
Further, talking about the cover display, it comes with a smaller screen of 6.45 inches OLED featuring 1B colors along with a 120Hz refresh rate. On top of that, the cover display features a resolution of 1080 x 2560 pixels.
Talking about the design, it features a premium-looking triple camera setup at the back that comes in a rectangular box. Also to mention, there is a standard Honor logo at the bottom of the back panel. At the front, there is a single selfie camera in a punch-hole design.
The device is 6.7mm thick while unfolded and 14.3mm thick when folded. Lastly, the device weighs 288g.
Performance:
Talking about the performance, Honor Magic V is featured with the latest processor Snapdragon 8 Gen1 that is built under 4nm architecture making the device the first foldable device to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen1. Likewise, the 4nm chipset features an octa-core processor with one Cortex-X2 clocked at 3.00 GHz, three Cortex-A710 clocked at 2.50 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 clocked at 1.80 GHz. Whereas, the graphics of the device is handled by Adreno 730.
Further, the device features Android 12 software with Magic UI 6 skin on top along with Google Play Services. You can get this device in two storage variants: 256/12GB RAM and 512/12GB RAM.
Camera:
Moving on to the camera, Honor Magic V features a triple cameras setup where the main camera is 50 MP, f/1.9 aperture with laser AF. Supporting the main camera, there is another 50 MP, f/2.0 aperture wide-angle camera. Completing the triple camera setup, there is a 50 MP, f/2.2 aperture ultrawide camera with an angle view of 122Ëš. The main camera can record videos up to 4K@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60fps.
At the front, there is a 42 MP, f/2.4 aperture single selfie camera that can record videos up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps.

Honor Magic V is featured with a 4750 mAh battery with fast charging support of 66W. In addition, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner with other sensors like an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and a compass.

Honor Magic V price and availability:
As we know, the device is recently announced, the sales of the device are also scheduled starting from 18 of January in China. According to our source, an Honor spokesperson mentioned the company has not yet decided if it will offer the Magic V outside of China. The Honor Magic V is available in two storage variants and with starting price of CNY 9,999. If the device makes its way into Nepali Market in the future, the starting price is expected to be around Rs 185799.
