There’s still a month left before Intel officially announces its 13th generation Raptor Lake CPUs but there are lots of specification leaks and rumors on this new CPU. Whereas during the Intel Tech Tour in Israel company revealed some key information of the new 13th Generation CPU. Therefore in this article, we will be talking about the key reveals of Intel 13th Generation Raptor lake CPU.
Highlights
According to Intel, the new Raptor Lake desktop processor is up to 15% faster at single-threaded workloads and up to 41% faster at muti-threaded workloads than the current 12th Generation Alder lake chipset.
Furthermore, the Raptor lake will be the first CPU to run at up to 6GHz stock clock speed whereas Intel claims the CPU will reach a world record-breaking speed of 8GHz supposedly with the use of liquid nitrogen for cooling. Moreover, to break the world record the Intel 13th generation Raptor Lake needs to run as high as 8.7Ghz clock speed to beat the actual world record. Whereas the CPU breaking the world record is likely to be an Intel core i9-1300KS Raptor lake desktop CPU.
Intel’s aims are clear with the release of the key specification to gain bragging rights over AMD’s recently announced Ryzen 7000 series which has a max clock speed of 5.7 GHz.
The intel CPU will be fully official by the end of this month whereas it’s set to launch on 20th October 2022 where the 13th generation Intel Raptor lake will bring up to 24 cores and 32 threads with up to 8 performance cores and up to 16 efficiency cores.
Furthermore, the Raptor lake-S will get 65W-125W desktop series of processors while the raptor-P will get a 15W-45W laptop processor along with the support for PCIe 5.0, M.2 SSD, and dual-channel DDR5-5600 memory.
