This new customizable feature of the iOS 16 has the potential to personalize the Lock Screen with multi-layered wallpapers, widgets, custom fonts for the date and time, and more. Furthermore, you can select a set of photos to shuffle on the lock screen throughout the day.
You will get to see a range of the Lock screen options which includes a new weather wallpaper along with live weather conditions and a wallpaper that provides an astronomy look at the Earth, Moon, and Solar system. It also supports multiple lock screen designs.
2. Edit or Unsend an iMessage:
The new iOS 16 upgrades allow you to edit an iMessage for up to 15 minutes after you send it. Whereas, you will get five edits allowed per message. Furthermore, you will be able to see a record list of the edits to the message you made. The message which has been edited is marked as edited.
3. Use the Full-Screen Music Player:
iOS 16 features a full-screen music player on the lock screen with large album art and colour-matched wallpaper. This feature is similar to the lock screen of iOS 10 launched in 2016. For those who didn’t want this feature, you can tap on the bottom of the display and minimize the music player.
4. Game With Nintendo Joy-Cons:
iOS 16 supports many additional Bluetooth games including the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Cons and Pro controller. iPhones which have upgrades of iOS 16 can be used with either single left or right Joy-Cons, or both at once as a singular controller.
5. Track an Apple Pay Order:
iPhones upgraded to the iOS 16 feature a new tracking of your Apple pay information in the wallet app for online orders being done. This includes a delivery date and indicates when a package is out for delivery.
6. Close Your Rings Without an Apple Watch:
The fitness app is now available on all iPhones which have iOS 16, even in the absence of an Apple watch. This app tracks your health activity including calories burned and steps per day.
