Apple Releases iOS 16, iOS 15.7, iPadOS 15.7, WatchOS 9 and tvOS 16

Apple unveiled iOS 16 and watchOS 9 back in June at the WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference) whereas they had announced the new update will be released on 12 September 2022 Monday. Therefore here we are with the release of new and important software updates for a lot of devices. This article will be talking about the new update by Apple iOS 16, iOS 15.7, iPadOS 15.7, WatchOS 9, and tvOS 16 for their devices.

iOS 16

First of all, talking about the newest version of iOS 16, it was announced first back in June. Whereas now it’s available for iPhone 8 and newer models. The iOS 16 will be preinstalled for the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro-Max out of the box when they start shipping this Friday besides the iPhone 14 Plus which is going to be released on October 7.

ioS 15.7 and iPadOS 15.7

Moreover, for those iPhone users who can’t update to the new iOS 16, Apple has also released iOS 15.7 which addresses multiple kernel vulnerabilities and fixes security issues with contacts, Maps, Safari, and Shortcuts. Whereas iPadOS 16 seem to be delayed as there were issues with the new stage manager multitasking feature so Apple is rolling out iPadOS 15.7 on its iPad which gets the same fixed and improvements as iOS 15.7 whereas this could be the final update before we see the new iPadOS 16.

WatchOS 9

Moving on the new watchOS 9 released by Apple features new watch faces, redesigned notifications, support for showing sleep stage in sleep tracking, and a new medication app that helps you to track your medication, vitamin, and supplement intake.

Furthermore talking about the support of the new watchOS 9 it will be available for Apple watch series 4 and Newer models whereas the Apple Watch SE 2, Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra will run watchOS 9 out of the box after its starts shipping.

tvOS 16

Whereas for the Apple TV there’s a new tvOS 16 update with game controller support for the Nintendo Joy-Cons and the Nintendo Pro Controller. These updates should have been offered to you if you have auto-update turned on.
