Apple launched its iPhone 14 series: iPhone 14, iPhone 14 plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max on September 7. As they are the latest series offering from Apple. It was highly expected the demand for these new iPhones will be much higher than their predecessor. However, this came true for iPhone 14 Pro Max and false for the iPhone 14 plus.
An analyst of TF securities named Ming-Chi Kuo has published an early report on the pre-orders of Apple’s latest iPhone generations on his twitter account. He reported that the demand for the iPhone 14 Pro Max has crossed the demand of its predecessor, the iPhone 13 Pro Max which was launched last year. So, it was rated as good in terms of demand. Whereas the remaining other new iPhones: the iPhone 14 pro got neutral, and the remaining model got a bad rating.Â
According to the data provided by Kuo. It reveals the demand for the new plus model is weaker even that of the iPhone mini of last year. As we all know, Apple discontinued its mini model due to weaker demand. However, now it seems the past is again repeating.
One thing to note here is the data estimated is based on wait times for new iPhone 14 models in different markets. However, the 14 series has not gone on sale yet, it is just taking its pre-orders until September 16. Whereas, the Plus will go on sale in October. Let’s see what will be the ratio of the demand in the upcoming days. Till then, stay connected to us.
