The upcoming iPhone 16 series is set to introduce a new technology called BRS, which stands for Border Reduction Structure. This tech aims to make the bottom bezel or chin of the phones smaller by using copper wires under the screen. It means the phones will look sleeker, and the Pro models might even get slightly bigger screens. In this article, we shall discuss more on iPhone 16 series Rumors.

iPhone 16 series Rumors:

The BRS technology is a significant advancement in smartphone design, particularly for Apple’s iPhone lineup. By reducing the bottom bezel, Apple aims to offer a more immersive display experience while maintaining the sleek and minimalist design that users love.

Reports suggest that Samsung Display, BOE, and LG Display, key suppliers of iPhone panels, have all acquired the BRS technology. However, the success of mass production will depend on the yield rate, which could vary among suppliers. For the regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models, the display size and type are expected to remain the same as last year’s non-Pro models. These models are likely to retain the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch LTPS panels with a 60Hz refresh rate.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could see a slight increase in display size. Market research suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro may feature a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max could come with a 6.9-inch display. These larger panels will likely use LTPO technology, similar to last year’s Pro models, offering improved power efficiency and potentially higher refresh rates.

Despite rumors of under-display camera technology to hide sensors, it seems this feature might be delayed. Kang Min-soo, a senior researcher, suggests that Apple’s plans to hide the camera behind the display or integrate Face ID into the screen might take longer than expected, possibly not arriving until 2027.
