Lava Agni 5G launched in India with MediaTek 810 SoC, 33W charging and 64MP camera setup

Lava Mobiles an Indian brand established in 2009 is pretty famous for its features smartphones in India and after a long time is back with a midrange device which is pretty competitive considering its precise and features it provides. Lava Agni 5G is the latest offering from the brand. The device features a 5G SoC, 90Hz display, 30W charging, and more. Let’s have a closer look into the Lava Agni along with its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display 

Like any other mid-ranger in 2021, Lava Agni features a plastic body with a plastic frame and a glossy back. Lava Agni is 204gm heavy and is around 9.1mm thick. While at the front we are treated with a 6.78-inch IPS Display with a punch hole at the top. The display is protected with Corning Gorillas Glass 3 and has a 90Hz of refresh rate. Overall the device is well built compared with the competition and looks like Lava has done a good job this time. 

Performance 

Lava Agni 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G SoC under the hood along with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This is a 6nm octa-core SoC clocked at 2×2.4 GHz. Along with this, we get 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. This SoC from MediaTek is a powerful midrange chip and has been previously seen in devices like Realme 8s 5G, which is also priced similarly to the Lava Agni. 

Camera 

On the Camera front, Lava Agni 5G packs a quad-camera set-up at the rear with a 64 MP, f/1.8 Primary camera along with a 5MP ultra-wide shooter with 115˚ of the field of view. While the last two are 2MP each depth and macro sensor. Coming to the front we get 16 MP, f/2.0 shooter for your selfies and video calls. The device can record 2K videos upto 30fps from its rear camera, while the front one maxes out at 1080P/30fps.

Lava Agni 5G packs a sizable 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging and even the fast charger is provided in the box. Along with that, Lava Agni supports, Wifi-6, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C 2.0. Lava Agni 5G runs on Android 11 with close to Android UI.

As of now, Lava Agni has been launched only in India at the price of INR.19,999 for its only 8GB/128GB variant. The device is available at an initial discount of NPR.18,000. If ever, launched in Nepal, the expected price of Lava Agni in Nepal is NPR.33,999 for an 8/128GB storage variant.
