Apple M3 Max beats M2 Ultra on Geekbench 6 CPU Scores.

Apple just recently announced its new M3 series Chipset which includes the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max whereas they also unveiled the Apple Macbook Pro with the M3 chipset. As the M3 Macbook is officially announced benchmark scores have been pouring and surprisingly M3 Max Geekbench 6 CPU scores match the M2 Ultra scores. Therefore in this article, we will discuss M3 Max Geekbench 6 CPU scores on depth.

The benchmark score which appeared online on Geekbench 6 results reveals the potential of the M3 Max chip as it scores 3227 in single-core and 21167 in multi-core. Whereas the result doesn’t reveal the test device which gives a grasp on the capability of the M3 Max chipset.

Furthermore putting these numbers side by side M3 Max beats Apple’s current top-tier M2 Ultra chip on a single score where M2 Ultra with 24 cores scores 2664 while the latest M3 Max with 16 cores CPU gets 3227 score. Coming to multi-core score the Apple M2 Ultra gets 20924 while M3 Max gets 21167 where again M3 Pro beats Apple M2 Ultra.

Apple’s new M3 chipset is based on a 3nm architecture an industry first for personal computing devices. The M3 chipset lineup consists of M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max whereas the M3 Max chip comes with up to 16 core CPUs featuring 12 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores. Moreover, the M3 Max pushed the total transistor count up to 92 billion.

The Apple M2 Ultra is the industry’s first chipset built from the M2 Max chipset through UltraFusion packing architecture using a silicon interposer to connect the dies. M2 ultra packs 24 cores CPU featuring 16 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores. Whereas the M2 Ultra is based upon a 5nm architecture and consists of 134 billion transistors.
