Apple has unveiled a pair of new MacBooks along with iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and watchOS. Both new Macbook Air M2 and Macbook Pro are powered by the newest M2 SoC that brings a 16% improvement in its CPU. Finally, the Macbook Pro M2 along with Macbook Air M2 officially arrived in Nepal. Performance
As stated earlier, MacBook Pro M2 is powered by Apple’s M2 chipset. This chipset is also based on a 5nm architecture like the previous-gen M1 chipset. It comes with 8 core CPU and gets an 18% better improvement in CPU. Also, the GPU cores can be configured up to 10 cores which Apple claims to have 2.5x better GPU performance than its predecessor.
Likewise, its 16-core Neural Engine is 40% faster than the M1 processor and now can perform 15.8 trillion operations per second. Directly, you can connect up to a 6K monitor to this new MacBook. Also, it can encode and decode the 4K and 8K ProRes videos.
The base variant has 8GB RAM and 256GB of SSD. You can configure the RAM up to 24GB and storage up to 2TB.
Design and Display
New MacBook Pro comes with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display that uses IPS LCD technology. It comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels with 227 pixels for inch density. Likewise, the display has 500 nits of peak brightness which is more than enough for any laptop.
Talking about the design, the laptop has just 1.56cm thickness and weighs just 1.4Kg. Although Apple reintroduces the Type-A port in its top-model MacBook, new Macbooks are still featuring the same selection as their predecessor. You get a headphone port, and two USB 4 Type-C ports (thunderbolt).

Other Features
The laptop features Backlit Magic Keyboard with Touch Bar on the top side. Likewise, it has a Touch ID at the top right corner of the Keyboard. The 720P webcam features an Advanced image signal processor with computational video.
MacBook Pro comes with a 58.2 watt-hour lithium-polymer battery that supports 67W charging via a Type-C port. On a full charge, you can get up to 20 hours of video playback on Apple TV. Moreover, it supports WiFi-6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

For now, we can only see 8+512GB variant of Macbook Pro M2 listed on Daraz. It is available for purchase at Rs.248,000. But Evostore has listed 8+256GB variant as coming soon on their website with the price tag of Rs.219,000.
