MediaTek Dimensity 9300 Overview
The Dimensity 9300 is MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset which is built under a TSMC’s third-generation 4nm architecture. Whereas the device stands out with its all-big-core CPU design and first LPDDR5T RAM chipset. Moreover, the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is a successor to Dimensity 9200 and a direct competitor to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Whereas MediaTek claims to offer a 40% improvement in peak performance in comparison to its predecessor while using 33% less power.
Performance
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 comes with a single Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.25Ghz as a prime CPU while 3 Cortex-X4 cores get a clock speed of 2.85Ghz and 4 Cortex-A720 cores come with 2.0Ghz clock speed for big CPUs. Whereas as mentioned above the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 only comes with all big cores therefore the chipset does not get little CPU.
Moreover, the CPU is paired with a 12-core Immortals G720 MC13 GPU with hardware-based ray tracing. Likewise, MediaTek claims to have a 46% improvement in hardware-based ray tracing performance over its predecessor.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9300 is also the first chipset to support the latest LPDDR5T RAM which gets a speed of 9600mbps, the world’s fastest smartphone memory as per Mediatek. Similarly, the chipset comes with UFS 4 +MCQ storage.
We can also find an AI Engine featured on the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset which supports generative AI with stable defusion generation in less than 1 second and supports up to 33 billion parameters.
Camera
Coming to the camera, MediaTek Dimensity 9300 supports a max camera sensor of 320MP. The 9th Generation Imagiq 990 ISP handles always-on HDR as well as a standalone image stabilization module. Similarly, ISP can handle up to 8k video at 30fps or 4K at 30/60ps with cinematic mode and real-time bokeh.
Display
Dimenisty 9300 brings support for a 180Hz refresh rate on WQHD screens while 120Hz on a 4K screen. Additionally, we can find support for dual active displays for foldable phones along with new Google Ultra HDR support.
Connectivity
The R16 5G modem on Dimensity 9300 supports 4CC-CA Sub-6ghz and 8CC-CA mm-Wave bands while also improving power efficiency with the help of MediaTek UltraSave 3.0+ technology.
