MediaTek has its G series chipsets as gaming chipsets where G90 and G90T were launched over a year ago. Now, G95 is introduced as a new chipset from the company to the lineup G series. It is claimed to be the most powerful 4G chipset from the company. It has a 5% better GPU performance than its predecessor, G90T.
G95 is as same as G90T where it has the same CPU layout, RAM, and connectivity. The only point where they differ from one another is that the GPU of G95 is clocked at 900MHz while the GPU of G90T was clocked at 800MHz. G95T had Mali G-57 MC4 in its GPU while G95 GPU is Mali G-76 MC4. Thus, it is believed to give better performance than G90T including better resource management and improved graphics.
Other than the above-mentioned difference, it is as same as G90T. The major similarities are that G95 is built using TSMC’s 12nm process technology. G95 is also an octa-core processor having 2 cortex A76 clocked at 2.05GHz and 6 cortex A55 clocked at 2GHz. Also, it can support LPDDR4x RAM up to 10GB with a storage of 2.1 UFS speed.
In-display section, it supports an FHD+ resolution of 2520×1080 pixels with a display refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It supports a 64MP multi-camera setup that can take videos at 4K at the rate of 30fps. Other than this, it also supports Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wifi 5, and Bluetooth 5.0.
It uses MediaTek’s Hyper engine gaming technology that uses both wifi and LTE data connection for better game performance.
It will be first used by Realme 7 that’s going to be launched on the 3rd of September. Its competitor chipset, snapdragon 732G is used by POCO X3 that will be launched on the 7th of September. It will be really fun to see which of these chipsets will turn out to be better.
