With 11% of total market share, Xiaomi ranks 2nd all over the world when it comes to selling wearables just after Apple and ahead of Samsung. Recently last year’s Xiaomi’s Mi band 4 was declared as the Bestselling wearable band for Q3 2019 -Q1 2020. A few months ago Xiaomi launched there New Mi Band 5 in China and now it’s coming to Nepal.
Xiaomi Nepal finally announced Mi Smart Band 5 through its official Facebook page in Nepal. Mi band 5 packs improvement above Mi band 4 in fields like Hear rate analysis, activity tracking, and much more.
Mi Band 5 Features in a nutshell
On the front, Mi band 5 features a 1.1″ dynamic color-display AMOLED display which is 20% larger than last year’s Mi Band 4. You get to choose Six straps of different colors. Mi Band 5 can now track 11 different sports/exercise modes. Starting from Rowing machine Elliptical, Yoga, Outdoor running, Outdoor cycling, Pool swimming, Indoor cycling, Jump rope, Treadmill, Power walking, and Freestyle. Mi Band 5 can track them all easily.
Along with all this Mi Band, 5 also supports 24-hour smart heart rate monitoring with its new 50% improved PPG biosensors. Mi Band 5 also supports Heart rate alerts, where you get a Vibrating reminder when heart rate is too high. Not only that, but Mi Band 5 also has a 24 hours sleep tracking feature that can record your Naps, no matter day or Night. Mi Band 5 also comes with an all-new women health tracking feature, which can record and remind you about your Periods. Including this and all other health, data can be easily monitored and be analyzed through the Mi Fit app, directly on your Smartphone.
Even with all these features, we get a similar 14 days of battery life in normal mode and 20 days of battery life when using under battery saving mode. This time Xiaomi has improved the charging design too. We get a magnetic cable to charge the Mi band 5 and also there’s no need to remove your Mi Band 5 to charge it up.

Mi Band 5 is launched at Rs.4499 in Nepal and will be available soon at Mi stores and online partnered websites. Regarding color option, Mi band 5 will be available only in the Black color option but you can buy the different color bands separately from the market.
