Mi Notebook Pro in Nepal
Xiaomi is now getting into the PC market in Nepal. With this, it will be interesting to see how it will compete with good old brands like Dell, Asus, and others in Nepal. So, let’s have a deeper dive into the specifications, features, and official price of the Mi Notebook Pro in Nepal.
Mi Notebook Pro Overview
The Mi Notebook series of laptops are mainly targeted at working professionals and those who want a productivity machine with premium built quality and not so bulky machine. These laptops are powered by 11th Gen Intel Chips along with Xe graphics. We have grade Series 6 Aluminium built with a lightweight design.
Design and Display
As I already told you, these laptops crater toward the premium built quality. Here we get Grade 6 aluminum built with just 17.3m of thickness and weighs around 1.4Kg. Despite this thin profile, we get a pair of 2W speakers with DTS support and we also get a 6mm diameter heat pipe along with a fan. The laptop also supports quiet and silent profiles, which can be easily switched through the fn keys.
Talking about that display, we get a 14-inch 2.5K display. This QHD+ panel has a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels with 215 PPI. These laptops screens have much loved 16:10 aspect ratio and for all those content creators out there, it supports 100% sRGB color gamut so, if color accuracy is your thing then this display will definitely be fruitful to you. The one launched in Nepal is an i5 variant.
Performance and Storage
On the performance side of things, we are getting 11th Gen Intel CPU with the Mi Notebook Pro laptops with integrated Iris Xe graphics. Talking about the i5 variant, the i5-11300H CPU with a max clock speed of 4.4Ghz. This CPU has a total of 4 cores and 8 threads. Along with that, we get 16GB & 8GB DDR4 RAM configurations with 512GB of NVMe SSD. These are 3200Mhz high-speed RAM, but you should keep in mind that these are soldered memory sticks and are not user-replaceable. Xiaomi has launched the 16GB RAM variant as the default option in Nepal.
Ports and Battery Life
The Mi Notebook laptop has a good port selection as we get 6 different ports in both variants of the device. Here we have,
Mi Notebook Pro Ports |
1 x Type-Câ„¢ USB (For charging and data transfer) |
1 x Thunderbolt 4 (For charging and data transfer) |
1 x Type-A USB 3.2 Gen 1 |
1 x Type-A USB 2.0 |
1 x HDMI |
1 x Combo Audio Jack |
Also, the Mi Notebook Pro supports up to two external 4K displays or one 8K display or an
eGPU via Thunderbolt 4.
The Mi Notebook Pro supports a 56W Hr battery which the brand claims can last upto 11hr also the claims from the brand might not always come out to be true in real-life usage. We can expect a good battery life because these are not very gaming-focused devices and the 10nm Intel CPU might provide a good battery backup. On the charging side, Mi Notebook Pros support 65W Fast charging via the Type C port which can charge up the device upto 50% in just 34 minutes according to the brand.
Keyboard and TrackPad
Mi Notebook Pro provides a backlit keyboard with 3 levels of brightness. These are scissors switches with 1.3mm of key travel and dedicated macro keys. Also, the trackpad here is quite large compared to similar laptops at this price point. Here we have Multi-touch with support for Windows Precision drivers. Here we also get a fingerprint sensor inbuilt into the power button with Windows Hello support.
