Microsoft launched three surface computers surface 5, surface pro 9, and Surface Studio 2 Plus at the recent launch event. Design and display:
Surface Pro 9 brings out the most upgrades in the overall launch of laptops. It comes with new color options, with matching Type Cover keyboards as well. It supports the 13-inch display of its predecessor along with the 2,880 x 1,920 pixels, 120 Hz, and a 3:2 aspect ratio. It weighs around 879 grams and comes with updated Alder Lake-U processors. The screen is protected with gorilla glass 5.
Performance:
As for the processor, the Microsoft surface pro 9 features Core i5-1235U or the Core i7-1255U. Similarly, the Snapdragon SQ3 version features a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) which leverages some new front camera features including Auto framing, Super Resolution enhancement, and there’s also a new noise-reduction implementation akin to those developed by Discord and Nvidia. The device offers RAM options of 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB. there are also removable storage options 28 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB of removable storage options.
Battery and connectivity:
The Microsoft surface pro 9 supports Microsoft’s Surface Connect port and Windows Hello facial authentication. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is absent from the Surface Pro 9, despite Microsoft including two USB Type-C connectors (USB 4.0/Thunderbolt 4). As for the battery, Microsoft claims that the Surface Pro 9’s 47.7 Wh battery should last up to 15:30 hours, while the 5G Snapdragon variant is rated for up to 19 hours of battery.

The prices start from US$999.99 with the Core i5-1235U, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage of the Microsoft surface pro 9. This is limited to only 256 GB of storage. Similarly, The Intel i7 version begins at $1599, and the 5G model will start at $1299. So the expected Microsoft surface pro 9 price in Nepal will be around Rs 131,557 for the core i5, Rs 210,570 for the intel i7, and Rs 171,063 for the 5g model.
