Nokia G50 launched with Snapdragon 480 5G, 6.82-inch Display & 48MP Camera

Nokia has just announced its brand new smartphone in Europe, Nokia G50. Nokia G50 is the latest mid-ranger from Nokia with a similar Nokia look, Snapdragon 480 5G SoC and stock android. Let’s have a closer look into the Nokia G50 along with its features and expected price in Nepal. 

Nokia G50 – Overview

Design & Display 

Nokia G50 features a larger 6.82-inch IPS LCD display with a dewdrop notch at the top. The display has a brightness of 450-nits and a screen-to-body ratio of 84.5%. The device has a plastic back which houses a triple camera setup inside a circular camera hump. The device is quite heavy and thick at 8.9mm and weighing around 220 grams. Nokia G50 also has a quite thick chin at the front, which houses Nokia branding. 

Performance 

Under the hood, Nokia G50 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480 5G SoC along with Adreno 619 GPU. It is a 5nm Octa-core CPU with 2×2.0 GHz Kryo 460 & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 460 cores, along with this we get 4GB RAM and 64/128GB storage. The Snapdragon 480 5G is a decent chip and can handle day-to-day tasks but don’t expect it to do heavy gaming.

Camera 

Nokia G50 features a triple camera setup at the back, with a 48MP f/1.8 primary shooter along with a 5MP Ultra-wide and 2MP depth sensor. While at the front we get an 8 MP selfie shooter. Nokia G50 can record 1080P (Full HD) videos at 30fps both from the front and rear cameras. 

Other Specification

The device runs on Stock Android 11 along with a 5000mAh battery and has support for 18W fast charging. Along with that, we have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. We also get dual-band Wifi with Bluetooth 5.0.

Nokia G50 has been launched in Europe at a starting price of $299.99 for a 4GB/64GB variant and as of now, we do not have any official confirmation about its launch in Nepal. While the expected price for the Nokia G50 in Nepal is Rs.30,000 for a 4/64GB variant.
