Oppo is one of those brands that has launched a bunch of products in last couple of months. After launching, Oppo A52, now they are back in the news by launching a more affordable smartphone, Oppo A12. Let’s find out the specs and price and see if this device can compete in the market or not.Â

Oppo A12 comes with a waterdrop notch LCD display measuring 6.22 inches. It supports the HD+ resolution of 1520×720 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19:9. The blue light filter on the phone will protect users’ eyes while playing games or watching videos. There’s a fingerprint reader on the rear side of the phone while AI facial unlock is also available for the security.Â
The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 (12nm) octa-core processor which is a decent processor for doing a normal task on the phone. The device runs on Android 9 (Pie) customized with ColorOS 6.1 on the top. The phone comes in two configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD slot.Â
Talking about its camera, 13MP main camera is coupled with a 2MP depth sensor for portrait mode. On the front, there is a single 5MP camera with AI beautification. There is also a smart video editor app on the phone that enables you to edit videos with cinematic filters.Â
The device is backed with a 4230mAh battery which uses MicroUSB 2.0 port to plug the charger in. According to Oppo, this device is capable enough to run 17 hours video continuously.Â

Oppo A12 is priced at Rs.18,590 and 20,790 for 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB configurations respectively. It is now available at Oppo showrooms and other retail partners stores all across the nation.Â
