Design and Display
Design-wise, Xiaomi Poco F3 GT has a wider body than the Realme GT Neo 2. Poco F3 GT has more of a gaming body than the Realme GT Neo 2. Realme GT Neo 2 has more of a simple classy look. At the rear panel both the devices feature a camera bump housing a triple camera setup. Poco F3 GT has a glass back protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 whereas Realme GT Neo 2 has a normal plastic body. Furthermore, the Poco F3 GT, not only has a bulky look to it but weighs more than the Realme GT Neo 2. The Poco F3 GT has IP53-rating- dust and splash protection. Realme GT Neo 2, on the other side, is not rated with any protection certification.
Moving on to the display, the Poco F3 GT flaunts 6.67 inches of huge AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. While Realme GT Neo 2 has a 6.62 inches AMOLED display with the same resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. The display of both smartphones is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Additionally, the display of both smartphones is HDR10 certified+. Nonetheless, you can enjoy 1Billion colors in the Poco F3 GT as it’s a 10 Bit panel, with which your user experience can be quite vibrant.Â
Poco F3 GT has a punch-hole cutout at the center of the display to house the selfie camera whereas the Realme GT Neo 2 has a punch-hole cutout at the top left corner of the display. The cutout at the center might be quite distracting to different users.
Performance
As for the performance, Poco F3 GT is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 1200 5G whereas Realme GT Neo 2 is powered by Snapdragon 870 5G. Different tests have shown that the Snapdragon 870 is slightly better than the Mediatek Dimensity 1200 in terms of CPU performance and gaming performance. Nonetheless, the difference seems quite low; so, going with MediaTek Dimensity will not be a bad idea either. We have also seen this SoC on the One Plus Nord 2. Though both Xiaomi and Realme are not known much for their software support but talking about the future, the device with Snapdragon SoC tends to get more updates and better custom ROM support.Â
The graphics of Poco F3 GT is handled by Mali-G77 MC9 whereas the graphics of Realme GT Neo 2 are handled by Adreno 650, which is slightly better than the one in Poco. Both the devices run on Android 11. Poco F3 GT runs on MIUI 12.5 skin by Xiaomi whereas Realme GT Neo boots on Realme UI 2.0 custom skin on top. Snapdragon 870 has also been seen performing really well in devices like POCO F3.
As for RAM, Poco F3 GT is available in two different RAM variants- 6GB and 8GB whereas Realme GT Neo 2 is available in the 8GB RAM variant and 12GB RAM variant. As for the storage, both the devices are available in two different storage variants- 128GB and 256GB.Â

Poco F3 GT can capture up to 4K videos at 30fps whereas Realme GT Neo 2 can capture up to 4K videos at 30/60 fps. As these devices are more catered towards the game-loving audience so, we don’t have much expectation on the camera department.
Battery
As for the battery, the Poco F3 GT packs in a 5065mAh battery with fast charging support of 67W. With the fast charging support, the device can be juiced up to 100% in just 42 minutes. The device features Power Delivery 3.0.
Realme GT Neo 2, on the other hand, features a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support of 65W. With the fast charging support, the device can be juiced up to 100% in just 36 minutes.Â
Battery-wise, the Poco F3 GT seems to be the better option with a bigger battery capacity and higher fast charging support. But it also depends on the optimization from the brand, even after having a similar capacity battery.
Realme GT Neo 2 vs Poco F3 GT: Pricing
At present, only one storage variant of each smartphone is available in Nepal. Poco F3 GT is available in an 8/256GB variant priced at NPR 51,999 whereas the 8/128GB configuration of the Realme GT Neo 2 is priced at NPR 54,200 in Nepal. So, there’s not a big difference in the price of these two devices, which in turn makes the decision much more confusing.Â
Poco F3 GT vs Realme GT Neo 2- Verdict
Both the devices fall into the same price range with similar features. Poco F3 GT features specifications that focus on gamers while Realme GT Neo 2 is a decent smartphone for regular usage. Depending upon your usage, you can choose between, as they have little difference in different aspects. If you are more into gaming and think that the mechanical triggers can be more beneficial to you, and don’t mind the MIUI of the Poco F3 GT then you might go for it. But if you want are not more into gaming but in search of a powerful device at this price point, you won’t be wrong, picking up the Realme Gt Neo 2 cause there’s not much of a performance difference between these two devices. After the recent price cut from Xiaomi, it’s now more tough to ignore the POCO F3 GT.Â
