Poco has been doing such an amazing job with the launch of new devices recently. All the devices launched this year till Q2 have been one of the best performing devices in the market. One of the recent devices of Poco, Poco M3 Pro 5G is playing its game in the market. This budget device comes with so many impressive features. I have been using this device for more than a week. And here, in this article, I will be giving a full review of this device with my honest thoughts. At the end of this article, we will know if this device is worth its price or not.

Poco M3 Pro 5G full review:

90Hz display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection:

Poco 3 Pro 5G comes in a beautiful design. The one I used was in a Poco yellow color and yes it was surprisingly cool looking. Talking about the design, it has a smooth texture at the back with a Poco branding below the camera. It looks classic with a triple camera setup at the back that comes in a rectangular box. At the front, there is a single selfie camera that comes in a punch-hole design. The camera on the backside has a little bump in it so I’d recommend you to use this device with a cover only.

Talking about its built quality, the device is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 at the front. The backside and frame are made of plastic. About the finishing, the device feels smooth while in hand. However, the screen is not blended nicely with the frame. The Poco M3 Pro 5G weighs 190g with a thickness of 8.9mm.

Dimensity 700 5G SoC

Poco M3 Pro 5G is one of the best devices under its price range as it comes with an impressive processor and software. As a budget-ranged device, this device is perfect without a doubt in terms of performance.

The device is featured with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor that is built under 7nm architecture. The 7nm chipset features an octa-core processor with two Cortex-A76 clocked at 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz. Whereas, Mali-G57 MC2 handles the graphics of this device. I personally liked the way this device supported games like PUBG. Although the game runs on smooth-ultra, the gameplay is smooth without any renders.

Talking about the software, this device is featured with Android 11, MIUI 12.

Moving on to benchmark scores on Geekbench, the phone scored 551 on single-core and 1659 on multi-core. Whereas on Antutu, the device scored a benchmark of 294588.

Average 48MP camera:

Poco M3 Pro 5G comes with a triple camera setup where the main camera is a 48 MP, f/1.8 aperture wide-angle camera. Hare, the camera takes decent photos in daylight although it is not that impressive. I took some sample images with this device and it was impressive as I took them in daylight. Further, there is a 2 MP, f/2.4 macro camera. The macro camera also takes decent photos. The photos taken from the macro lens had some details and yes it was quite impressive. Lastly, there is a 2 MP, f/2.4 aperture depth sensor.

The camera has other features like HDR mode that takes photos with more details and helps a lot in shadow separation. Night mode in this device is also average. You can see slight changes in photos taken from night mode. Other features in the camera include panorama, slow motion, and time-lapse. The device can shoot videos up to 1080p@30fps.

There is an 8 MP, f/2.0 aperture single selfie camera at the front. Again, the camera is not excellent but average. Photos taken from the front camera came out to be average. The front camera can record videos up to 1080p@30fps.

Overall, for the price, we can say that the camera is worth its price as the photos taken in daylight comes out impressive with average color saturation. About the front, the camera is average overall.

Battery and other features:

Poco M3 Pro 5G is featured with a 5000mAh battery with support for an 18W fast charger. With the massive 5000mAh battery, you can expect to last a full day without charging your device. Also while gaming, the battery lasts for at least 4 hours.

Other features like the side-mounted fingerprint scanner work very well and yes it is responsive.
