Redmi Note 11 vs Realme 9i – Overview
Design & Display
Looking at the build and design, Realme 9i might look slightly premium from the back with that new camera module design. Talking about the build & materials we have Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the Redmi Note 11 with a matt plastic finish at the back. The device is IP53 rated for dust and water resistance. On the Realme 9i, we get Dragontrail Pro Glass on the front with glossy plastic at the back with no IP ratings.
Now let’s talk about the display at the front. Here, Redmi is a clear winner with its 6.43 inches of 90Hz AMOLED display. It’s an FHD+ panel with a maximum brightness of up to 1000nits. While on the Realme 9i we get a 90Hz LCD display. It’s a 6.6-inch panel with FHD+ resolution. This is a downgrade compared to the Realme 8i which offered a 120Hz display.
Both of these displays are WideVine L1 certified, which means they can play Full HD content on OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. We also get a stereo speaker setup on both of these devices.
Performance & Software
On the performance side of things, both the devices are almost similar. Both Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. It is an octa-core SoC with 4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver CPU cores and Adreno 610 GPU. Along with this, we will be getting 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM. Talking about storage we get a 64GB/128GB option. The storage on the Redmi Note 11 is UFS 2.2 while the one on the Realme is UFS 2.1.
The Snapdragon 680 is the latest mid-range SoC from Qualcomm and is able to score up to 251642 in Antutu Benchmark. As, both the devices have the same internal hardware, the performance will mainly depend on the software optimization. Redmi Note 11 runs on Android 11 with MIUI 13 on top while the Realme 9i has Realme UI has Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11. So for the performance, we have to see how well both the brands are able to optimize their UI.

Camera:
Talking about the camera, Redmi Note 11 features a quad-camera setup at the back with a 50MP f/1.8 being the primary camera. Along with that, we have an 8MP f/2.2 Ultra Wide Camera with 118Ëš field-of-view. While the last two are 2MP each depth and macro. Compared with the Realme 9i, it also has a 50MP f/1.8 primary shooter but misses out on the Ultra-wide and completes its triple camera setup with 2MP each depth and macro shooter.
On the front, we have a 13MP f/2.4 shooter on Note 11, while the Realme 9i rocks a 16MP sensor with a larger f/2.1 aperture. Redmi Note 11 can shoot 1080P videos up to 60fps from the rear while the Realme 9i caps out at 1080P 30fps. Due to the fact, Redmi Note 11 packs an Ultra-wide Camera, this round clearly goes to the Redmi Note 11.

Battery & Other Features
Both Realme 9i and Redmi Note 11 pack 5000mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging, with the charger provided in the Box. Looking at the specs sheet, the Realme 9i lacks the gyro sensor, which might be a bummer if you like to play games on your smartphone. Both the devices have support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Dual Band Wifi.
