A few years ago, if you asked me about a decent device under 20,000 in Nepal, I would have told you to increase your budget and get something around 25-30K. Now things have changed. You can get a great device with a large battery and a capable camera under this price segment. Today we got a new Samsung smartphone under a similar price bracket.
It’s the brand new Samsung Galaxy M11. The device might give competition in sales to newly launched Realme C3. So today let’s compare what both have to offer along with their pros and cons. We already did a similar article between Redmi 8 and Realme C3, do check that too.

Design
Here both the devices come with a plastic body and a plastic frame. In the Galaxy M11, we have a Punch hole display for the front camera whereas in Realme C3 we have a dewdrop notch. Despite having a large battery both the devices are well under 200gm. At the back, we get to see a similar camera and fingerprint position in both of the devices.
Whereas at the bottom things are not so similar, with the M11 we get a Type C port whereas the Realme counterpart has a Micro USB. Being a plastic body we won’t get a feeling of quality while holding both the devices, well we can’t complain much at this price point.
Display
Here in Gadgets in Nepal, we have always praised the display of a Samsung device but this time Samsung has provided a 6.4 inches HD+ TFT panel. Which means you will not be getting a great experience with viewing angles. It’s great that Samsung has provided a Punch hole at this price point but they should have at least used an IPS panel. The Realme has a slightly bigger and better 6.5 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with max brightens up to 480 nits.
Performance & Software
Realme has done a better job with a new MediaTek Helio G70 (12nm) along with the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. This SoC performs a lot, yes a lot better than what you get with Samsung Galaxy M11. As Samsung Galaxy M11 comes with a 3-year-old Qualcomm Snapdragon 450(14nm) with Adreno 506 GPU. Both are the Octa-core CPU. Here Samsung should have gone with a newer Mediatek or a Qualcomm chip.

In the software department, with Realme, we get Realme UI on Top of Android 10 whereas in Samsung Galaxy M11 we have One UI 2.0 on top of Android 10.
Optics
Here we can praise Samsung for a versatile camera setup. Samsung Galaxy M11 has a 13MP f/1.8 primary shooter with PDAF. Along with this, we have a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. While the third one is a 2MP depth sensor for those portrait shots. Here Realme also has a Triple camera setup while its configuration is a 12MP f/1.8 main camera along with a 2MP Macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
While for the front we have a 5MP f/2.4Â camera in the Realme C3 while in Samsung M11 we get an 8MP f/2.0 shooter. Looking at the specs, Samsung Galaxy M11 has an upper hand over Realme C3.
Battery
Both C3 and Galaxy M11 have a 5000mAh battery. Here, Realme comes with a 10W charging support with its micro USB Port while Samsung has a better 15W fast charging support with its Type C port. Realme should have provided a fast charging solution here. A 5000mAh battery would take a lot to charge with that 10W charger.
Pricing
In the Nepali market, we get 3GB+32GB variants of both the devices. You can get Realme C3 for a price of 16,999 while the Samsung Galaxy M11 sales have started for 18,999.
