After launching the GT 2 Pro, Realme has launched the GT 2 in India. The major differences between these two devices are the processor, camera, and display. In this article let’s have a closer look into the Realme GT 2 along with its specification, features along with it’s expected price in Nepal.Â
Realme GT 2 Overview
Build & Design
When you look at the device from the front and back, there’s not any difference between the Realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro, though the GT 2 is small as it has a smaller display. We have a typical Realme design with nothing outstanding. We have a punch hole at the top left corner. While at the back we get a triple camera setup with the Realme logo at the back. The device boasts a stereo speaker setup and lacks the headphone jack. The volume rockers are at the left while we get the power button on the right side.
Display
Realme GT 2 has a smaller display compared to other flagships who like a 6.6+ inches display. Here we get a 6.2-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It’s a high refresh-rate 120Hz panel with a maximum brightness of upto 1300 nits and can support upto 1000Hz of touch sampling at certain modes. So, viewing HDR content will be a joy in this device and those stereo speakers will add up to your multimedia experience.
Performance
On the performance side of things, we have Realme GT 2 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC along with Adreno 660 GPU. It is an octa-core flagship SoC with 1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680 cores and for the storage, we have 128/256GB UFS 3.1 storage along with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM. So, performance won’t be an issue with the Realme GT 2. As Snapdragon 888 is among the most powerful chip on the Android side of things and this is coupled with 4129mm sq. 3D vapor cooling, you could expect some of the smoothest performance from the Realme GT 2. We have previously seen this SoC in the OnePlus 9 and Mi 11 Series of devices.

Realme GT 2 features a triple camera setup at the rear along with a 50MP f/1.8 IMX 766 sensor as a mail shooter. It supports Omni-directional PDAF and is an optically stabilized lens. Along with that, we get an ultra-wide-angle lens on the Realme GT 2 with a 119Ëš field of view and f/2.2 aperture and the last one is a macro shooter with a focus distance of 4cm, resolution of both ultra-wide and macro is not specified. With its rear camera Realme, GT 2 can record 4K videos upto 60fps. While at the front, inside the punch hole we get a 16MP f/2.5 sensor that can record FHD videos.Â
Battery and Other features
We get a decent-sized 5000mAh battery on the Realme GT 2. The device supports 65W charging, which according to the brand can fully charge the device from 0-to 100 in 33 minutes. Talking about the software, Realme GT 2 runs on Android 12 with realme’s own Realme UI 3.0 on top. On the connectivity side, the device supports 5G, WiFi6, Bluetooth 5.2, and also has NFC, for wireless audio we also get aptX HD support.
