Realme GT Neo 2 Finds a New Variant of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB Storage

Realme has finally announced Realme GT Neo 2 in Nepal. The new Realme GT Neo 2 features Snapdragon 870 chipset at a decent price in Nepal. Additionally, Realme has added powerful software and an improved cooling system along with a crisp display to enhance the gamer’s experience. Design and Display

Design-wise, Realme has made some changes in the new GT Neo 2 compared to its predecessor- Realme GT Neo. Realme has made some changes in the camera setup compared to the original Neo. Also, the tacky-looking ‘Realme’ logo has been replaced with a minimalist and chic logo at the bottom left of the rear panel. The GT neo 2 with its relatively bigger screen has the same punch-hole cutout at the top left to house its 16MP selfie camera as the original Neo.

Realme GT Neo 2 has 6.62 inches of AMOLED display along with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. Moreover, GT Neo 2 supports HDR10+ display which provides you with a vivid and colorful display. Even though Realme has used an AMOLED display in the new GT Neo 2 in spite of the Super AMOLED display as in the GT Neo, the 1300 nits of peak brightness compensate. Despite these, there are no further changes in the display of GT Neo 2. It has the same 120Hz refresh rate allowing the users to enhance their visual and gaming experience and an impressive touch sampling rate of 600Hz.

Performance

Realme GT Neo 2 runs on the same operating system- Realme UI 2.0 based Android 11 but with an addition of GT Mode 2.0 that will boost the hardware to provide a better gaming experience. Moving on to the performance, we can expect the Realme GT Neo 2 to have better performance than GT Neo with its Snapdragon 870 chipset. The device will be available in two different RAM variants- 8GB and 12GB along with storage variants of 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Like the hardware, by itself, cannot withstand the intense pressure of a high-performance gaming smartphone, Realme has assembled an innovative cooling gel with actual diamond particles and vapor cooling chambers. The cooling system is expected to reduce the temperature and improve the overall performance by 20% compared to the original Realme GT Neo.

Camera

Moving on to the camera, there is no innovation in the camera setup of Realme GT Neo 2. Realme GT Neo 2 has the same 64MP primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 2MP macro lens. Besides a slight change in the camera arrangement, there is no other difference. As for the selfie camera, Realme GT Neo 2 houses a 16MP selfie shooter inside a punch-hole cutout on the display.

Battery and other features 

Realme has upgraded the battery capacity from 4,500 mAh to 5000 mAh in the new GT Neo 2. Moreover, the device supports fast-charging up to 65W over the wire, which supposedly fully charges the device in just 36 minutes. Realme GT Neo 2 runs on Android 11 with Realme UI on top. We have support for Dual-band Wifi and Bluetooth 5.1 along with A2DP, LE, aptX HD. We get a 3.5mm Audio jack and also a stereo speaker setup on this one.
