Realme GT Neo 3 vs Samsung Galaxy A73 5G
Design & Display
If you ask me, I like Samsung’s design approach between both of these devices. Along with that, Samsung Galaxy A73 also comes with IP67 dust and water resistance, which gives an extra point to the device in the design department. Both the devices support a Stereo speaker setup and Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front.
Looking at the display size, both the device provides a 6.7-inches of AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. We get Gorilla Glass 5 Protection on both of these devices. The panel used on the GT Neo 3 is a 10Bit panel with support for 1Billion colors, while we get a standard 8-Bit display on the Samsung. On top of that, GT Neo 3 also gets a dedicated chip for better and stable high frame rates while gaming and navigating throughout the UI.
Camera
Moving on to the optics, Samsung has a clear leade over the Realme. Starting with the Galaxy A73, here we get a Quad Camera setup with a 108MP Primary Camera with PDAF and OIS. Along with that, we get 12MP Ultra-wide and 5MP f/2.4 for each depth and macro sensor. While at the front we are treated with a 32MP f/2.2 selfie shooter. With this setup, the A73 5G can record 4K videos up to 30fps from both its rear and front camera.
Whereas, the Realme GT Neo 3 has a triple camera setup at its back consisting of a 50MP f/1.9 Sony IMX 766 Sensor with PDAF and OIS. While the last two are 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide shooters and a 2MP macro camera. While the punch hole houses a 16MP f/2.5 shooter. With this setup Realme, GT Neo 3 can shoot 4K videos up to 60fps from its rear camera and Full HD Videos up to 30fps from its front camera.
Performance & Software
Realme GT Neo 3 is the one with the flagship SoC and better performance between both. Here we get MediTek Dimensity 8100 SoC with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. This is a 5nm SoC with powerful cores up to 2.85GHz. So, if you are someone who is looking for a powerful device with a flagship SoC at this price, GT Neo 3 might be a good pick.
While the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G houses Snapdragon 778 5G SoC. This is a 6nm processor with powerful cores clocked at a maximum of 2.4 GHz. While on the GPU department we get Mali-G610 M6 GPU on the Realme GT Neo 3 and Adreno 642L on the Galaxy A73.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G runs on Android 12 with Samsung One UI 4.1 on top. Samsung has promised 4 years of updates on these devices, so it has a little upper hand over the Realme GT Neo 3. As Realme GT Neo 3 also runs on Android 12, it has its own Realme UI 3.0 on top with 2 years of Android updates. Also, the Ads situation is quite better on the Galaxy A73 5G.
Battery & Charging
This is where GT Neo 3 outshines all other devices. Realme GT Neo 3 comes with a 4500mAh battery but it supports 150W of fast charging which is the fastest in the world. Even during our testing, we found the device was able to charge from 0 to 100% in just 17 minutes. Also, the charger is provided in the box itself.
While the Samsung Galaxy A73 comes with a slightly larger 5000mAH battery, it only supports 25W charging. On top of that, Samsung is not providing any charging brick in the box this time, so you have to buy a new one.
