Realme GT Neo 3 vs Xiaomi 12X
Design & Display
If I had to choose a device in terms of its looks and in-hand feel, Xiaomi 12X would be my choice. Here, Xiaomi has gone with a compact approach with a curved display. The device has a premium look like the more expensive Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. Upfront we get a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz of refresh rate. This is an HDR10+ certified 12Bit display, which can produce 68 Billion different colors.
On the other hand, the design of the Realme GT Neo 3 is nothing out of the box. We get a matt finish at the back with white stripes. On the front, we are treated with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display which also refreshes at 120Hz. This is an FHD+ 10Bit Panel which is HDR10+ certified too.
Camera
Talking about the optics, Xiaomi 12X features a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP f/1.9 primary shooter with PDAF and OIS. Along with that, we get a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide camera with a 123Ëš field of view and the last one is a 5MP Tele-macro camera. While at the front on the top we get a 32MP selfie shooter with an f/2.5 aperture. With this setup, Xiaomi 12X can record 4K videos @30/60 fps and even 8K @ 24fps. While the front camera maxes out at 1080P @ 30/60fps.
Realme GT Neo 3 also comes with a triple camera setup, along with a 50MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture, an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide with 120Ëš field of view, and the last one is a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. On the front, it houses a 16MP f/2.5 shooter. Realme GT Neo 3 can record 4K @ 30/60fps from its rear camera, while the front can only record 1080P at 60fps.
Performance & Software
The Xiaomi 12X features a Snapdragon 870 5G that is built under 7nm architecture. The 7nm chipset features an octa-core processor with one Kryo 585 clocked at 3.2 GHz, three Kryo 585 clocked at 2.42 GHz, and four Kryo 585 clocked at 1.80 GHz. Likewise, the graphics of the device is handled by Adreno 650. Xiaomi 12X comes with 8GB RAM & 256GB internal storage.
Realme GT Neo 3 is the one with the newer flagship SoC and better performance between both. Here we get MediTek Dimensity 8100 (5nm) SoC with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. This is a 5nm SoC with powerful cores up to 2.85GHz. With these specs, Realme GT Neo 3 can provide better performance than the Xiaomi 12X with Snapdragon 870 chip.
Realme has an edge here over Xiaomi, as the device runs on Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 on top with promised android updates for 2 Years, whereas the Xiaomi 12X still boots on Android 11, with their own MIUI 13 skin on top, and the update situation is also not very clear.
Battery & Other Features
In the battery department, both the devices have the same capacity of 4500mAh. As we all know, Realme GT Neo 3 is the fastest charging smartphone in the world it supports 150W fast charging. With this, the device can charge from 0-100% in just 15 minutes. While the Xiaomi 12X is also fast enough with its 67W charging. We get a charger inside the box with both the devices. Talking about other similarities, both have stereo speaker setups, supports WiFi 6, and have no headphone jack.
