Realme Q5 Pro launched in China with Flagship SoC and 80W Fast Charging

Realme had an event today in China where they launched their two new devices under their Q series. We saw a mid-ranger Realme Q5 along with a premium mid-ranger Realme Q5 Pro. While the Realme Q5i was launched a few days ago. The Q5 Pro is powered by the infamous Snapdragon 870 along with some other eye-catching specs. In this article, let’s take a deeper dive into the Realme Q5 Pro along with the expected price of the Realme Q5 Pro in Nepal. 

Realme Q5 Pro Overview

Design & Display

Realme Q5 Pro has a display similar to that of Realme GT 2. We get a glass sandwich design with 8.7mm of thickness. The device weighs around 195gm and has dual sim support with no support for external micro-SD card support. Moving on to the display it is a 6.62 inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is an HDR10+ certified display with a max brightness of 1300 nits and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

Camera

Talking about the optics of the device, Realme Q5 Pro supports a triple camera setup at the rear. Here we get a 64MP f/1.8 primary camera along with an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor completing the camera setup. With this combo, the Realme Q5 Pro can record 4K videos up to 60fps. Coming to the front, inside a punch hole we get a 16MP f/2.5 sensor and can record 1080P videos at 30fps.

Performance & Software

In the performance department, we get tried and tested Snapdragon 870 5G SoC. This is a 7nm Soc with 1×3.2 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 585 CPU cores and Adreno 650 GPU. This setup is paired with 6/8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device runs on the latest Android 12 out of the box with Realme’s own Realme UI 3.0 on top.

Battery and Other Specs

Realme Q5 Pro features a 5000mAh cell along with support for 80W fast charging. The cherry on top is, that Realme is providing this 80W fast charger in the box. The device supports WiFi 6 and dual-band wifi with Bluetooth 5.1. We also get a stereo speaker setup, under-display fingerprint sensor, and includes all important sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. The devices come in black, yellow, and white color options with a checkered-flag design on the latter two.

Realme Q5 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability

As of now, Realme Q5 Pro has been launched only in China at a very competitive price of  CNY1,899 for the base 6/128GB base variant. While the yellow and white color options are CYN 200 expensive. We do not have any confirmation if the device will launch out of china or not. If launched in Nepal, the expected price of Realme Q5 Pro in Nepal is NPR.40,000.
