Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power launched in Nepal with Snapdragon 662 and 6000mAh battery

Xiaomi has been launching great phones under the Redmi 9 series, which has been gaining massive popularity in the mid-range segment. Recently, Xiaomi had launched three phones in China under the Note 9 series, which had been anticipated by tech enthusiasts globally. Finally, one out of the lot, Redmi Note 9 4G, has been rebranded with an additional camera and launched as Redmi 9 Power. In this article, let’s talk about the specifications, features, and Redmi 9 Power price in Nepal.

Design and Display

Like any other phone in the price range, the Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power also sports an IPS LCD measuring 6.53-inch with an 83.4% screen-to-body ratio. The screen features a 1080p screen protected with Gorilla Glass 3, which Xiaomi could have taken a notch higher with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. 

Redmi 9 Power is built in a plastic frame with a plastic back and a glass front. The front screen features a teardrop notch. At the back, you will see the quad-camera setup and a Redmi branding with an anti-fingerprint texture design like the one seen on Realme C3.

Performance and Memory

Talking about performance, Redmi 9 Power is fueled by a midrange Snapdragon 662 SoC complemented by 4 GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 12 with Xiaomi’s very own MIUI 12 on top. You get two storage options, with both being different storage types; 64 GB UFS 2.1 and 128 GB UFS 2.2. For the CPU, you get a quad-core CPU with four Kyro 260 Gold cores clocked at 2.0 GHz, and four Kyro 260 Silver Cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. And the graphics are handled by Adreno 610, which will get you through most games at low to medium settings.

Camera 

The Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power carries almost the exact specs as of Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 4G except for the camera. Redmi 9 Power has an additional camera with a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP wide lens as a primary camera. To complement the primary camera, the phone has an 8 MP ultrawide lens and depth and macro sensor of both 2 MP each. The rear camera can shoot videos of up to 1080p at 30 fps.  

For the Selfie, Redmi 9 Power has an 8 MP wide-angle lens that can shoot videos of upto 1080p at 30fps.

Battery and Other Specs

The mid-range beast’s endurance should be in accordance with the performance it provides, so Xiaomi has put a massive 6000 mAh battery in the phone. With such a battery, your phone could easily last a day or two, and after that, for charging, the phone supports 18W fast charging, but you get a 22.5W fast charger out of the box. Redmi 9 Power also supports 2.5W reverse charging.

Other phone specifications include its Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, FM radio, and the IR Blaster that comes with every Xiaomi phone.

Redmi 9 Power has been recently launched in Nepal yet. It was launched in India back in December, with sales starting from December 22.
