Design & Display
Like every other budget device, Redmi 9C comes with an all-plastic design with a large 6.53-inch HD+ dewdrop display at the front. At the back, we have a textured finish with a Triple-camera setup and fingerprint scanner. At the back, we also get a capacitive fingerprint sensor. Talking more about the design we get a dedicated Micro-SD card slot, 3.5mm jack, and a MicroUSB port.
Optics
Redmi 9C comes with a triple-camera setup at the back. With its primary sensor being a 13MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Along with that, we get a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots and a 2MP macro Lens. Talking about the front, we have a 5MP selfie shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The device supports features like HDR and portrait mode at both the front and back. It can also record video up to 1080p FHD at 30fps.
Performance & Battery Life
For the performance side of things, we get MediaTek Helio G35 with PowerVR GE8320 handling the GPU duties along with 2 or 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Helio G35 is an octa-core CPU with 4×2.3 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. This device will handle regular day-today tasks easily with social media scrolling and Online classes with low-end gaming but don’t expect more than that. Redmi 9C runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 skin on top.
All this is run by a 5000mAh large battery, which has now been the standard for the devices at this price point. Though here we don’t get faster charging as the device only supports 10W charging via the Micro-USB cable.
