Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 Review
Design & Built
Talking on the first impression of the Redmi G24 Gaming Monitor it looks similar to the monitor available in the market with thinner bezels on the 3 sides with a thicker chin at the bottom. Moving on to the built-quality monitor it comes with a plastic finish whereas we get a metal stand included on the device.
Futhermore the Redmi Gaming Monitor doesn’t get height adjustment, rotation, swivel, and other adjustments but the monitor does have a tilt adjustment. Whereas from my experience I found the height of the monitor to be slightly lower than other monitors. Moreover, the monitor has the freedom to tilt downward whereas it has very less movement for an upward tilt.
Additionally, I found the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 has a lot of wiggle between the joint of the stand and monitor. But it is not a problem as you will be using the monitor on a standstill desk.
Display
The Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 features a 23.8 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) screen which a features VA panel. Whereas I found the panel with excellent contrast, color saturation, and vibrancy. Futhermore the monitor also supports HDR 10 which makes the monitor the best choice for regular uses such as watching movies, and videos.
Additionally, a point to note is the viewing angle of the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 is poor as a result of using the VA panel.
Similarly, our team used this monitor for video editing and photo editing and found the monitor to be decent enough for the purpose. But they noticed that the factory calibration seems a bit out of balance as the overall image appears to be warm. Futhermore in the package, Redmi also provides their customer with a document on factory calibration which was great to see such a price point.
Another thing we notice with the display when going through various color settings and modes on the monitor was that the brightness seems to be raised and lowered drastically in response to the darkness of the image.
Gaming
Finally talking about what this monitor is built for which is gaming. We had an amazing experience with the monitor playing various games at 165Hz. Moreover, the high refresh rate animation feels smooth on the screen. Whereas thanks to the adaptive sync for the Redmi Gaming Monitor you don’t have to enable G-sync or Free Sync manual therefore it just plug and play for the users.
Furthermore when playing fast-paced fps games such as Valorant. Our teams had noticed pretty bad ghosting but by saying that the Redmi Gaming monitor G24 is not unplayable though whereas it could bug you if you’re a competitive gamer. Moreover, we also noticed artifacts present when using the monitor at a high refresh rate.
Connectivity & Other Features
At the back of the Redmi Gaming monitor G24 we get a few port options that include single HDMI 2.0, Display Port 1.2, and 3.5mm audio which I find is sufficient for a gaming monitor. Whereas the inclusion of a joystick at the back for controlling the on-screen menu of the monitor is very thoughtful by Redmi it gets better as the Redmi G24 gaming monitor comes with lots of special features and options.

Verdict
The Redmi G24 Gaming monitor offers one of the best prices to specification for the users whereas it is also the cheapest 165Hz refresh rate gaming monitor available in Nepal as of now. So, if you’re searching for the best budget gaming monitor in Nepal this Redmi G24 is undoubtfully the one to go for.
But if you’re a competitive gamer the presence of ghosting and artifacts on the Redmi G24 could bug you, therefore, I recommend you to look for other gaming monitors. Furthermore, I find the Redmi Gaming monitor best for the casual gamer who also does a bit of video editing and photo-editing as the factory color calibration is decent for normal users.
