The Redmi K40 series was first launched in February 2021. And now Xiaomi is planning to launch the successor of the Redmi K40 series which will be named the Xiaomi Redmi K50 series. Xiaomi Redmi K50 Series Overview
We have been hearing the rumors of the Redmi K50 series as the successor of the Redmi K40 series. And now the officials say that this new series is likely to be launched globally by the month of March 2022. Similarly, the leaks, the new K50 series will consist of four models which are the same as the K40 series. The models will likely be named K50, K50 Pro, K50 Pro+, and K50 Gaming.
According to the leaks and rumors, the four models will come with four different chipsets, where the K50 pro+ will likely feature Dimensity 9000 . Further, the Redmi K50 is rumored to feature Snapdragon 870, and the K50 Pro and K50 Gaming will feature Dimensity 8100 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively.
Other Leaks and Rumors
With the rumored chipsets being talked about, the Redmi K50 series will run MIUI 13 out of the box. And along with that, the device will be coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In addition, according to the recent rumors, the Redmi today revealed that they will be the first in the industry to support Bluetooth 5.3. Also to mention, the handsets also make use of the LC3 audio codec for future-proofing. The K50 Gaming is rumored to feature a 64MP primary camera along with a battery of 5000mAh. Whereas, the K50 Pro+ is said to sport a 108MP primary camera joined by a periscope telephoto unit.
Lastly, the leaks said, the K50 series will be featuring a 100W charging and IP68 dust and water resistance, but we don’t expect these features on all four models.
Xiaomi Redmi K50 Series Expected Price In Nepal
As we know, the device will be launched in China by 17 of March 2022. However, the price of these devices is not leaked yet. We can expect the Redmi K50 to cost around 500$ to 600$. Likewise, the Redmi K50 Pro is rumored to cost around 600$ to 700$. The Redmi K50 Pro+ will cost 700$ to 800$. Lastly, the Redmi K50 Gaming is likely to cost 400$ to 500$. The price in Nepal of Redmi K50 series smartphones when converted starts at around NRs. 48,000.Â
