Design & Display
So looking at the design of Redmi Note 9 Pro we get a Glass front and back protected with gorilla glass 5. At the front, we have a 6.67 inches FHD+ display with the punch hole in the middle. While at the back we get a quad-camera setup along with Redmi branding at the bottom. While in the Oppo side we geta 6.5 inches display with the punch hole on the top left corner. At the back, we get a quad-camera setup similar to that of Samsung Galaxy devices. Redmi Note 9 Pro is more heaver between both.
Performance and Software
Here Redmi Note 9 Pro has gone with Snapdragon 720G along with Adreno 618 GPU. This SoC is manufactured under 7nm finfet technology. This results in great performance without sucking up more battery. While its competition also uses a snapdragon SoC, but its 15 months old Snapdragon 665 (11nm). So Oppo has here gone with a generation-old processor.
Snapdragon 665 with Adreno 610 GPU was a great performer at the beginning of 2019, but currently, it is left behind with the newer SoCs. Talking about the software side of things we get Android 10 running on both the devices. On top of that both the devices run on their own custom UI. For Redmi Note 9 Pro its MIUI 11 and for Oppo its ColorOS 7.1.
Optics
Talking about the cameras in both the devices, here we get the most popular setup of 2020. Yes in both the devices, we have a quad camera setup. On Redmi Note 9 Pro we have a 48MP f/1.8Â primary sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP each Macro camera and a depth sensor. While at the front we get a 16MP f/2.48 shooter. In Oppo A52 we get a 12MP f/1.7 Primary lens, 8MP ultrawide lens, and 2MP each depth and macro camera. While at the front we get a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera. Both the devices are capable of 4K@30fps from the rear and front max outs at 1080P@30fps. On both the devices we get features such as HDR, NightMode, Panorama, and much more.
Battery
We get almost similar battery capacity in both the devices. The 5020mAh battery on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and 5000mAh on the Oppo A52, both supports 18watt quick charge. Even after being the same capacity, the one in the Redmi should last longer here as it has much more efficient SoC built on 8nm technology compared to 11nm on Oppo.
