Redmi Band Pro vs Huawei Band 6 Overview
Design & Display
Both the smart fitness bands have a similar look with a long vertical display. We get a similar display size of 1.47-inches and both of them are AMOLED panels. But only the Redmi Smart Band Pro supports the always-on display feature. We get silicon bands on both devices which are changeable. Here Huawei has gone with a buckle design while Redmi Smart Band Pro comes with a buckle-like design.
Personally, I liked the Redmi Smart Band Pro because of its smooth curve display and along with that it also has thin bezels all around the display, when compared with the Huawei Band 6.
Health Tracking
Moving on to the tracking capabilities of both the bands, both of them supports features like 24-hour heart rate monitoring, SpO2, sleep tracking, stress monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, and breathing exercise. Talking about the sensors we get a PPG Optical Heart-rate monitor, 6-axis-motion-control-sensor (3-axis accelerometer + 3-axis gyroscope motion sensor), and SpO2 sensor on the Redmi Smart Band Pro. While the Huawei Band 6 has 6-axis IMU (accelerometer, gyro), and an optical heart sensor.
Redmi Band features, 114 different activity tracking while the Huawei Band 6 maxes out at 95. Though very few of them are the ones which you will be using. Talking about auto activity detection, Redmi Smart Band Pro can track three activities automatically including running, walking, and treadmill. Also, the smart band from Redmi tends to detect activity faster than the Huawei Band 6. The Huawei Band 6 can detect 6 activities including running, walking, and elliptical machine.
Companion App and Features
A bit part of using a Smart Band or a Watch is interacting with its companion App. As both, bands are in from different brands we have different apps to control them. Though for the connection, both the bands use Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Redmi Smart Band Pro uses Zepp Life App which is previously known as Mi Fit. Whereas the Huawei Band 6 uses Huawei Health App. Comparing the ease of use and the user interface, Zepp life is a tad bit better than the Huawei Health but it basically depends upto the user. Also, the App for Redmi Smart Pro can be easily downloaded and updated from the Google Play Store or Apple App store. But if you are using Huawei Band 6 with an Android device, you might need to download the latest version of the Huawei Health app as an APK or via Huawei App Gallery.
Talking about feature sets, most of them are almost similar but Redmi Smart Band Pro features some extras like an always-on display, PIN lock, and app layout customization features. Other than that, features like DND Mode, Music Control, Stopwatch, Alarms, Weather Forecast, Raise to Wake, Timer, Camera Control, and Find Phone are the standard features available on both devices.
Battery and Charging
Both the brands claim 14 days of standard battery life. Though it will highly depend on your real-life usage. We get a 200mAh battery on the Redmi Smart Band Pro while the Huawei Band 6 houses a 180mAh cell. Both are charged via a proprietary magnetic connector at the back.
