Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G Initial Impressions – Launching Soon in Nepal

The recent device that has shown up in our office is Samsung A52s 5G as a review unit. This new product by Samsung is getting launched very soon in the Nepali market.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is the new presentation in its A-series. Samsung Galaxy A52 was one of the most loved devices among Samsung’s mid-range phones which had good praise and high demand. The phone came in such low stock that the company was not able to meet the increasing market demand. Up to the present date, a large number of people are waiting for the availability of A52. Therefore, considering the love and appreciation by the customers regarding the last phone within the time frame of 6 months Samsung Nepal is set to launch Galaxy A52 5G with an upgraded SoC and features.

Build and Durability

Initially, talking about the design of the device the Galaxy A52s is made out of Gorilla glass in the front and plastic at the back having a matt finish which gives it a pretty tidy look since it keeps away fingerprints.  Looking from the front side it looks like all modern Samsung phone’s designs. It has a punch hole at the top and comes in 4 different colors i.e. Awesome mint, Awesome white, Awesome Violet, and Awesome Black. The side frame is made up of plastic with a glossy finish. It weighs 189 grams which does not feel very heavy while holding it in your hand. It also features a Dual Hybrid SIM card slot and has an Under Display Fingerprint sensor which is pretty fast and reliable.

When it comes to its durability, the Galaxy A52 5G has IP67 water and dust resistance rating which means the phone will easily survive splashes and dust and can survive up to 30 minutes under 1 meter underwater.

Display

Samsung Galaxy A52 has a 90Hz panel but this time around we have an upgrade over here. The Galaxy A52s 5G has a Super AMOLED Display with a 120Hz Refresh rate which gives the phone a very smooth and silky feel while using. But, the refresh rate is static with only 60Hz and 120Hz which means you get to pick a High refresh rate and low battery and vice versa. A52s Galaxy has brightness up to 800 nits which are pretty bright and we didn’t have any issue while using under bright sunlight. With a pixel density of 405 PPI, the panel is quite sharp and you would enjoy consuming media on this large device as it also features a dual stereo speaker setup. The display is also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5.   

Camera

When it comes to the camera of Galaxy A52s 5G, it is pretty similar to the previous one. The device has a generous four sensors on the back. The main camera is a 64MP f/1.8 sensor with PDAF and Optical image stabilization, the ultrawide shooter is a 12MP f/2.2 sensor with a field of view of 123˚, the macro being 5MP and depth being 5MP for adding depth-of-field effects to portrait mode. The selfie camera comes with 32 MP f/2.2 for taking high-definition selfies. As of now, we have not tested the camera intensively, stay tuned with us for the full review and camera samples. But looking at the initial samples and previous track record from Samsung, we expect the device to preforms really well in its price segment.

Performance

Unlike last year, this time Samsung has really upgraded the performance of the device. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset built under 6nm architecture. It has an Octa-core CPU and Adreno 642L GPU. On the performance front, we didn’t have any issue with the device. Despite the fact, it’s a 700 series SoC, the Snapdragon 778G performs really well. It is somewhere around the Snapdragon 860 territory. On our hands-on time, we tried PUBG Mobile and the device was able to push 60fps, without any sweat. Comparing to the A52, we could easily notice the leap in the performance of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G.

Battery Life and Charging

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G comes with a 4,500 mAh battery capacity which means you can expect the battery to last for a full day under moderate usage conditions. We have seen smartphones with 7000mAh batteries from Samsung, but a 4500mAh cell with good optimization can really provide you a juice to run a full day. Here we also get support for Fast charging up to 25 Watt. Samsung has presented the Galaxy A52 5G with more features, especially in its internal hardware. Talking about the software, the A52s 5G runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top. This Custom UI from Samsung is well optimized and runs really smooth on the A52s 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G Price in Nepal & Availability 

As of now, we don’t have any official information for the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, but it might launch towards the end of September. Talking about the price of the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, we expect the price in Nepal to be NPR 57,599 for 6+128GB and NPR 59,999 for 8+128GB variants.
