Design and Display
Samsung Galaxy F23 features a plastic build with a Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the front with a dewdrop notch. The back has a matt finish and is available in Aqua Blue and Forest Green color. Talking about the front display, here we are getting a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz of refreshrate. It is an IPS LCD display and is the first device in the F series to feature a 120Hz high refresh-rate panel. So, compared with the Galaxy F22, we are trading a 720P AMOLED display with a 120Hz IPS one.
Camera
Samsung Galaxy F23 features a triple camera setup inside the rectangular camera bump at the back. The rear houses a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera along with an 8MP ultrawide with a 123º field of view and the last one is a 2MP macro lens. While at the front we get an 8MP selfie shooter inside the dewdrop notch. This front camera also enables an AI-based face to unlock.
Performance and Software
The performance side of the Galaxy F23 has seen a major upgrade. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G SoC. This is a 12nm SoC with 2×2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 570 CPU cores along with Adreno 619 GPU. On the memory front, we get 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. Samsung claims, the device also has a virtual RAM feature which allows up to 12GB of RAM expansion. The device supports a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging but but but, this time you won’t be getting a charger in the box.
On the software side, the device is running on the latest Android 12 out of the box with ONE UI 4.1 on top, and Samsung promises 2 years of major Android updates and 4 years of Security patches.
