Samsung Galaxy M02 launched in Nepal

Samsung is back with yet another budget device and in their ‘M’ series. After the success of the Galaxy M01 series last year, Samsung launched Galaxy M02s in January last month and now M02 has been launched in Nepal. The device covers the objective of providing a large display with a big battery, without being a pain in the pocket. Today, let’s have a look at what Samsung Galaxy M02 has to offer along with its price in Nepal. 

Design and Display 

Like any other device in this segment here we get a plastic body with a plastic frame and plastic back. At the front, the device features a 6.5-inch TFT display with HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. With that, we get a dew-drop notch at the top, and the back houses a vertical dual-camera setup with LED flash and Samsung branding. While the bottom has a single speaker and micro-USB port for charging.

Cameras 

Samsung Galaxy M02 comes with a dual-camera setup at the back. With the primary camera benign a 13MP f/1.9 shooter with AF and the second one is a 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter this time. While at the front we get a 5MP f/2.0 shooter. This camera setup might be good for casual photos at optimum lighting conditions. It comes with features like ISO control, Auto Flash, Digital Zoom, HDR mode, Exposure compensation, and more. 

Performance 

Samsung Galaxy M02 is powered by MediaTek MT6739W. It is a quad-core processor with all four A-53 cores clocked at 1.5Ghz. While the GPU duties are handled by PowerVR GE8100. For RAM we have 2GB or 3GB options with 32GB of internal storage on both of them. With these specs, gaming is not something you should try on this one, but for normal tasks like web & social media surfing, watching movies, making calls on Messenger or Viber, the device will be able to handle these tasks easily.   

Battery & Software

To do all this, you need a big battery and a battery is one of the USPs of the Samsung Galaxy M02. It has a 5000mAh non-removable battery inside with 10W charging via the micro-USB port. Here, at least Samsung should have gone with Type-C port. For software, we have One UI 2.0 on top of Android 10.

Talking about the price of Galaxy M02, we will be getting two different RAM variants in three different colors – Black, Blue, and Gray. Samsung Galaxy M02 is priced at Rs. 11,999 for 2GB + 32GB while the higher variant with 3GB+32GB is priced at Rs. 12,999.
